Light Burn Experiences?

Here's my situation....
600w hps/6 plants/coco/5 gallon pots

Indoor 4x4x8 tent, first indoor run using coco/peralite. Skunk#1 and NYC Diesel; I've grown both in soil successfully, so I thought I'd try a coco run. Both plants have been very similar in structure and size in my soil grows, so I thought they'd be great to pair in coco and see the results... Apparently nycd LOVES coco, and the plants stretched to 6' while the skunks only stand around 3.5'. Needless to say nycd got a little close to the light, and there are a few burnt leaves (like toasted, not tips haha) and cola tips. The lower bud sites look fine, just the very top flowers.
That being said, I'm looking for feedback on 2 things:
1) What should I expect in terms of quality/quantity loss?
2) I've noticed the cola's closest to the light are RAPIDLY maturing through flower. Its a 9-11 week strain, currently in week 6 of flower. The burnt cola's look like they could be done in ~2 weeks while everything else is still a month out. What are your experieces with light burn and the plants being pushed too fast through flower? I say that with a grain of salt, like I've said its not the entire plant just the cola's ~10" or closer to my light?
I'll post some pics in a few mins...
