light cycles

hi i have 1 week old seedlings and had them 24/7 but changed my mind as they look better after a rest..so going into 20/4 or 18/6....anyway the problem is they been switched on and off a couple ov times inlast 24 hours due to being in bedroom first time for about 8 hours and then like an hour? ohh they under a 400w duel spec in a wardrobe

p.s wat does a slight curl upwards on leaves indicate?

how close are the lights to your plants??? sounds like they could have been too close and were burning them, is it a cooltube??

400w is a bit hot for seedlings. Try using some CFL's for the first 1-2 weeks OR get a cooltuber OR place a piece of glass between the HPS and the plants and have a fan blow on the glass to keep it rather cool( this is a cheaper, not that efficient, but still better than nothing alternative to a cooltube- i have a round piece of glass between my HPS and my little ones. it keeps them happy )

hi just checked and i dont know if a cool lamp, im guessin not as it would say on the box and its just all the usual stuff ...its from sunmasters?anyway thats wat i was thinking 2 hot! lamp about 2half feet away with fan over....does it matter if yur not perfect on turning yur lamp on and off? like if one day ur an hour over or under? or do i need to be really excact? ohh they are autos one biodesiel and kush thanx guys

You should get yourself a timer. but no outside you get inconsistent amounts of sun (some days are cloudy some clear)

with your lamp 2 and a half feet away, and fans on it i dont see heat being the problem
