Does anyone know where I can get easy to use and easy to manipulate(move) light fixtures for CFLs? and if so any of them mogul based?

it is what i have 2 of them but buy the 250 watt cfl bulbs off of ebay much cheaper like 65$ shipped both spectrums

nice. now even though you've shown me this I've seen people get sockets with the cord plugged into the wall, just a socket. where do you pick those up.

i will look around cfl mogul socket with cord is what your looking for.


wouldn`t mind having just cord and socket myself for some good lower lighting

and get one of these extensions:

and if you want to add two lights to a reflector, you get a Y spliter.



Small cheap ones are only $7 at Walmart and very heavy duty ones at Lowes or Home Depot for $11 each.

$1.79 it has two negative connections and two positive. One for power and in and out so you can place like 6 to 8 on a lamp cord. Probably 20 with a good extension cord.

i made this one my self relatively easy and only have about ten bucks in it including the lights i fixed the exposed wires by adding elect tape if thats a concern

i use those lights with the silver cover that that roseman posted that pic of. i took the domes off and added a y splitter and then put 2 bulbs on each and hung them from a extension cord i draped across my closet i raise and lower them as needed. works perfect for me. pics here

Just go to your local home depot or lowes. You can mess around there and build a whole entire setup for cheap. They will have everything you need. Dont bother buying off ebay or any of these other sites. You can put it together yourself for a lot less money.

just get ideas from pics on here and other peoples grow setups. thats what i did. read alot think alot and just write some ideas down and then like he said goto home depot and just sit in there and think it thru and design it in ur head. sometimes it helps to get some of the stuff and then go back l8er and get more. its hard to realize what all u need until u get a feel for it. so jus make lists and go build.

I'm using bathroom vanity light fixtures, attached to a simple wooden frame made from 1x3's, suspended from screw-in hooks by chains. Wired it up color to color, green (ground) black (hot) white (neutral). I used a heavy duty grounded cord as well, with 3 prongs.
