Light for flowering phase????

I am just about ready to put a single plant into the flowering phase and probably about 2 to 3 more in just a little while after that. So lets say for 4 plants, what would be the most efficient and best light to use for the 12/12 cycle? I was thinking something small like a 150 MH but am not sure. Any suggestions?

400watt HPS for 4... 250 HPS for 2...
MH is best suited for veg not flower.
My suggestions.

I agree with the 400 watt hps. If space and heat are problems just use red spectrum cfls.

Uh Oh, did I get this wrong and make a newby mistake and use my HPS for Vegging? I thought it was High Pressure Sodium for Vegging and Metal Halide for Budding?

You can buy a good hps bulb that has a blue spectrum in it as well. One light does all then. No need to switch from mh to hps. Works great for me

I bought one of those that you can switch out either bulb. It came with both bulbs so I just turned off the HPS and I figure I will let it cool off for about a half hour before I go ahead and put in the MH. I didn't know anything about the one bulb that does it all, who makes it and do they have it in like a 250 because I am going to have to get another one so I can run one tent for vegging and one tent for budding?

HPS is the best for your buds man, MH and floresents work but if you want good hard dense bud get a HPS. I dont know how much space you have but if you can fit it a 600 watt is by far the best bet unless you have the room and 1000 watts are where its at.

Understood, but for now just so I understand what you are saying, I am at day 58 from seed and I had been using the wrong bulb from what I understand and HPS, so now what I need to do is simply change the HPS to a Metal Halide, is this correct?

There is no sense in stressing your plants by changing the lights back just to change them again if your close to flowering. It will be fine, just use the MH for the next grow.

You could add a couple 6500k cfls, that would add your blue spectrum which is what a MH does.
