light problems

hey guys im having light problems. i have a lumatek 600w digital ballast with bulb and light reflector. problem is the first time i turned it off for 6 hours, it took 10 to 15 minutes to turn on when i plugged in. second time i turned it off it took 36 minutes to turn on. i looked at the ballast website and it said the lights should be at full brightness within a minute. so what do you guys think is the problem? the bulb, the connection on the reflector, what? please help. by the way all the light sockets work perfectly and its not the breakers either. help

the second time you turned it off and then on......how long did you wait? is this HPS or MH? if i turn my MH off and on right away it takes a few minutes to re light.....36 minutes is not good though....if the bulb is lighting then i would look for loose wires at the ballast or if you can borrow another ballast you can check your bulb

hey sirbud. it is hps. the second time i turned off i waited 6 hours. it took 36 minutes to go on. i dont know what to do. obviously the bulb, ballast and reflector work cause it turns on, but i dont know which one is faltering. no friends who would be able to help. not even close. i really dont want to spend more$$$$$$$$$$$$$$. so clues hints suggestions please. thanks sirbud and everyone else. anyone else with this prob?

you have a grow hydro shop nearby? the one by me checks ballasts for free....maybe they can help...i am lucky to have on close by, sorry i did not help to much...sounds to me the problem is in the ballast
