Light substitute

I currently have 2 lights.
24 inch florecent, 26 watt CFL.

Im about to install a 1000 watt HPS bulb.

is installing the HPS light a good idea?
should i keep the other 2 bulbs in there with it?

where should the lights be as far as placement goes?
all about 4 to 6 inches away?

will my new light burn the plants if its too close..?

if you have a 1000 watt hps then you have no worries about other lights


how many plants are your growing

the light will get incredibly hot will you have a cool tube or anything?

i dont know what a cool tube is...
just 1 plant...
can i just use a 2 fan system..? (air in exhaust out?)

also.

if one of my leaves has started to die but there are 4 or 5 good sized others.. is it alright to clip them? or should i just leave it?

can i clip dead limbs or leaves?

yah you can clip dead leaves and limbs and the in and out exhuast will help

You really dont need all that light for just one plant though

haha. i want it for the spring/summer seasons. so i can get a lot of babies started gast and throw em outside.

how much would it help if i just added another CFL? a lot?

whats the best CFL setup?
