Light suggestions for awkward tent?

Hello guys, looking to upgrade or add another light to my tent, however, it is an extremely frustrating size of 3 ft by 20inches so I am limited as far as width goes for my light choices. Anyone have any suggestions for smaller tents for about 2 plants?

Appreciate the help!

How about this MIGRO light, bars/spacers can be removed to fit your area.
Or 1 of THIS HLG 350R LIGHT, or 1 of THIS HLG 260W XL QB V2 RSPEC LED KIT, or 2 of THESE HLG QB96 ELITE V2 ENGINE High Power LED Boards (need to buy driver separately).
Or maybe 2 of THESE GLA BOARDS (need to buy a driver separately, no heatsinks necessary for your size area).

I only have experience with HLG who are present on this site @Stephenj37826 and will say their customer service and support is top notch.
MIGRO is based in the UK if that matters, and GLA is Australian run and also has a presence here on RIU, plus has these discounts
10% off all products for RIU members. Use code: FORUM
10% Tax removed for overseas purchases

Wowzers you provided me with a lot to look at! I have generally heard nothing but good things about HLG, and just saw some of the migro lights! Being in Canada is rough, as shipping and duties usually kill our ability to order internationally without paying a premium but I believe I have seen some HLG lights sold up here!

Looking at Amazon Canada I had found this:

Looks to be a 220w draw, only 15.6" by 9.6" , I could use this in tandem with my 16"x7" light I currently own (180w draw) and would bring me up to about 400w of true wattage in my 3' x 20" space. Not to mention it is budget friendly.. any opinions? Would this be too much do you think, or is that light absolute garbage? Don't want to waste money on marketing traps either lol. Still somewhat new so just trying to determine my best bet to optimize my space!

Appreciate the help!

I would not recommend that light. If budget is a priority, two of the HLG QB96 and a driver will cost about US$200, for another US$100 you could go for the HLG 260W R-Spec kit, and if you want the absolute business the HLG 350R or GLA 420 Boards work out to about the same-ish US$550 all excluding shipping and taxes. They will all be perfect coverage (spread and PAR) for your area IMO. With the GLA boards if you ever upsize your area you can attach heatsinks to them and drive them harder to cover the bigger size (up to a 4x4 per their PAR maps on website)

I would steer clear of most Amazon junk, been there done that, from my experience they do work, just not as well as better lights, and they are more prone to break down. It really is worth biting the bullet and buying quality from the start.

Overall considering budget, quality, performance, and support I would go for two QB96's from HLG.

Haha appreciate it, it has happened to me before and it sucks so you may have saved me from making the same mistake twice.

Not to be a pain, but Canada is a special snowflake in that we are close to America, but we don't get nearly as nice of things as America does haha. I didn't see the qb96 alone on https://www.horticulturelightinggroup.ca/collections/led-lamps would you be able to suggest an alternative? I saw the 300L v2 R Spec buy at 585 can that is fairly outside my budget at the moment. I would probably be looking about the 200cdn or less range at the present time. If it is too much to ask, no worries, it's not your job to find me a light haha.

At 85 watts each I doubt they will flower properly
For the 5 square ft area they are trying to cover they would be getting 34W per square foot. In the video PAR at 12 inches was tested at 887 dead center down to around 400 at the outside in a 2x2. For the tent in question each light would be covering around a 1.5ft square area, the tent is only 36 inches long by 20 inches wide, so the perimeter readings would increase a bit and the overlap would help too.

Not ideal but for $US66... maybe even get three of them for $US99, still cheap overall.

I recently bought a 3k 150w for 100 canadian. Is throwing more heat than 600w commercial led in flower tent. Some cheap lights do work, just avoid blurples if you can. Any full spectrum 3 to 4k will do full cycle. HLG and Migro kick ass from all lve seen. Im sure if you shop around you can find a few lights in your price range.

Appreciate a fellow Ontarian chiming in! We tend to not have the best selection so I will probably just have to be very careful and try to find the best and most honest light in my budget haha.

If you shop around there are 240w double boards for well within your price range. I look to kajiji when thinking of buying lights. Some good deals on site and l dont drive so can get it brought to door. Bought my 600w for 500 can. Got a great deal on it.
