light wont come on

fuck the fiance just woke me up and said the light didnt come on at 6:30 like it should have...

have a 400w switchable from htg (and i just posted yesterday about how i didnt get defective shit from them, fuck i knew this would happen...

running mh now as its on veg, the light is glowing a bit like right before it comes on, i tripped the breaker on the timer, nothing....

i have it unplugged now timer all, what the fuck do i do? :confused::cry:

did you blow a fuse? that happened to me a couple times when I plugged too much shit into one plug. check your fuse panel.

good idea, i never would have thought of that, ill have to wait for the fiance to get home though, its in a utility closet and i have to take the shelf down and all the shit blah blah blah...

o jesus im all anxiety stricken, i put the good plant in my cfl box but i hope my light isnt kaput =(

could this be from the ballast being intergrated into the hood? like, its getting too hot? temps run right around 84F for the most part in the room, but could the ballast be overheating being so close to the light?

Switchable, you say? Throw in the HPS bulb until you can figure out the issues with the MH. Plants may stretch a little, but they'll keep on growing.

ok the hps seems to work fine so i am assuming its an issue with the mh bulb and not the actual fixture (i hope)...

htgsupply is known for great customer service - give 'em a call & let 'em know about your bulb - they'll probably just shoot you a new one - HPS is fine in the mean time.

ok so now im sure i freaked out way before i should have, doh!

sent htg a email and then called home depot, guy said what i should have known all along, if one bulb works and the other doesnt you have yourself a dud bulb lmao

ill probably just go pick one up from home depot since htg didnt guarantee the bulbs life, i dont feel right asking them for something for free....

oh shit dude i thought you said your fiance BROKE upwith me and your lights wont come on...

i was like damn a break up and a plant problem,, this guy is unlucky

but i see it says WOKE me up... thats cool that you and your fiance grow together.... awwww.

anyway i have no idea whats wrong.. is the light trying to ignite? or is it jsut doing nothing

it seems like its trying to ignite, its glowing real soft, but it just wont fire...

but i got the hps in now and its working fine, but then so was the mh for almost 3 weeks so i dont fucking know =(

try just pluging it in without the timer. if it works then its your timer.
if it is your timer try finding a heavydutytimer got min at manards. think it cost $10. gl on getting it fixed.
