Lighting changes

I just started putting my plants that are in the veg stage under my HPS in the flowering room during the day and then during the night putting them back under my CFLs. I am wondering if there is a chance of shocking them with the difference in light intensity and spectrum from day to night. I guess I'll find out soon enough but I thought some more experienced growers would know one way or the other if my fear is justified or not.

Thanks

Well I was trying to keep the plants in the veg stage on 24 hour lights, no dark period.
The flowering plants under the hps are on 12/12.

Yeah, I guess so. I only have one HPS bulb and only one place to use it so I grow some plants under CFL up to 1-2 feet to save money, plus it seems to work pretty well - and then I transfer them to the flowering closet and start some clones while those ones are budding. I'm obviously on a budget.
