Lighting for 5x5 area veg

Hello everyone! First post here.

So I have been doing a lot of reading and I still cannot decide on which light is best for my tent. It’s 5x5 and has eight train wreck clones in it. I use this tent just for vegging. I’d like to invest some money in better lighting so I can produce better results during the veg period.
I have been looking at cmh and t5’s quite a bit. I currently have a Nanolux 630w cmh I use for flowering in my other room and I really like it. I would really appreciate some input on this subject, Thanks!!

Can't beat LED for veg. I have switched my veg room over the 30 years I've been growing. I started with MH, did HPS to gain stretch, ran CMH and now I am running LED and loving it.

With LED I am saving a lot of money on power. The veg lights run 18 hours a day so they add up faster than flower lights. Add in the fact you don't need to cool the room as hard since you are running less watts but you actually need warmer canopy temps due to the lack of infrared.

The key is you need good LED, not some blurple garbage.

Hey thanks so much.
I will look into LED. I have not done much research into that form of lighting. I do live somewhere hot where my tempts can be a problem, especially in my flower room.
Now what you’re saying is if I do run a good led I will need to ensure my canopy remains warm?
my last question (sorry I know theirs a lot) would be, do you have any brand recommendations or certain things to keep in mind when purchasing led? Such as avoid blurple cheap lights lol.
Thanks a ton for the input!
