Lighting for autoflower seedlings

Hello,

I have just sprouted a couple of speed devil #2 + Fast bud # 2s both autos and have been wondering as they are autos am I better to just chuck them straight under a 600 watt bad boy as I belive is best not to re pot autos or have them under a 125watt CFL for first 14 days?

Once i saw green i had my light on them. So far my ladies are doing fantastic. And i used 125watt CFL's.

I wouldnt throw them straight under the 600. Theres a chance you might fry them. Start em out under the CFL for a few days then switch to the 600. And my thinking is the same as yours, I wouldnt re-pot at all. The stress from a transplant could shock them. Now if they were reg seeds Id say no problem in re-potting, but being autos, you already have a very limited time before harvest and you want every second going towards building a bigger yield.

You can start with the 600 = at about 24 inches above. Then gradually lower it.

Transplant need not shock auto-flowers. If you start them in a ph neutral soil (as auto-flowers should be) in a small container perhaps 6" H, 6" D, after 2 weeks carefully upend it and replant in the permanent container and you should be fine.

If you can, never transplant autos. Plant them into the final pot.

Doh! Just started a few spares in solo cups. Damn it

Well just place them in the final pot before the roots com out from the sides or bottom of the soil they are in. You have like 2 days before they do that from sprout.
