You are trying to recreate the long days of summer for the plant. 18/6 on the hours and 6500K on the spectrum.

i have been starting seeds indoors at the begining of march.once the plants hit 10 inches.i turn the lights to 12/12.one week latter the plants start to show sex.i kill all the males(keep a few for breeding).i move them outside april 15.you can pinch the tops to bush them out or keep letting them go for a single main cola.give them a nice dose of fertilizer and your good.bye pinching the tops to get a bush. the plant revert to vegging a little faster.after a few weeks all the plants should revert to veg.plus your only using females.saving lots of time and money.very rarely does a plant want to keep on flowering.be diversefied, grow lots of different types of seeds.

I go with eighteen/six under tube florescents, I put them out as soon as I can, after the last frost which can be hard to judge, usually around the middle of april. It is best to get the plants about a foot tall so some animal doesn't come by and eat them, animals love the fresh sprouts but the more mature growth is much more bitter so they would probably just take a bite and move on....for the deer and rabbits fertilize with blood meal they hate the smell and will stay away from the plot, but the blood meal will attract other carnivorous animals that will dig in the ground to find the blood meal because they think there is food there, I lay little pieces of wire mesh around the plants to prevent them from digging them up. And I piss everywhere I might even save it in jugs sounds a little sick but it works. just a few tips to keep the predators away
