My ac runs while my lights are on for 18hrs a day at lights off the ac also goes off but comes on every hr and a half to cool the room a bit. My question is my room temps are basically the same lights off or on Wud that cause a problem

its what i strive for less stress on the plants
Hey rob. Long time no see.

I agree completely.

The more of a difference between day and night temps can increase internode distance. "Stretching".

Once you enter flowering your nodes should be pretty tight with zero temp differences meaning you should get very little stretch and big colas.

Ideally, it should be a little cooler during lights off if you're trying to mimic nature. But, I have seen no evidence this is helpful or harmful to the plant. However, I suspect your humidity could be rising to high levels during lights off. I would try to measure that, because too high humidity can cause mold issues.

Ok lemmi just make sure I'm reading right, are u sayin that u strive to have the temps the same or u try to have as much difference between lights on and off?

I'm pretty sure there has been a good bit of research on the subject. It is called Dif., or temperature differential, and ideally you want as little difference between daytime and nighttime temps. as possible. So, you're rocking it, broseph. Perfect.

I have Q for ya. why do you need to run the ac in veg? I only run my ac in flower. my lights on temps in flower are 70/72* and my lights off are 73/74* (+/-1* on or off). my rh is 40-45% around the clock (im a basement grower with ambient temps of 73* and 45% r/h). my veg tent runs at 80/81* and 46-50% r/h lights on. don't care about lights off temp or rh in veg. veg can handle 80*-90*tops w/o any issues.

Well to answer ur question I don't live in the us and my regular daily temps outside is 28-33C so in my closed up room it Wud get a lot hotter ac is a must. I have tried without ac and as soon as the plants get leaves they die. Also tried with ac but my res temps were a bit high plants got root then they started to rot. For the first time I keeping my box and my res temps below 75 for the most part. Hopefully I get a plant with more than 2 small leaves
