Ya I would literally wake in a puddle of sweat every single night and have to wrap myself in a towel and go back to bed. There certainly is some kind of addiction going on with it. And I can second the dull headache, it’s not so much a headache as a dull like presence maybe?
that doesn't sound like weed to me..

I regularly stop for a week or two at a time. And i noticed a lot of things that are consistent with the article.

Sleep for instance... its not that dreams are more vivid when you dont smoke. Those are normal dreams. Daily smokers of the herb just dont sleep as deep and so they rarely go into full REM mode. So when herb smokers quit for a while they get normal sleep and normal dreams.

Also, i get muscle cramps and headaches when i stop. They last for about 3 days... then im good. As for the anxiety... when a person has been smoking daily for years and suddenly stops the habit guess what? It creates anxiety the same as any other habit that is stopped suddenly. Drive the same way to work for years then one day a detour makes you change the habit... anxiety results. Its just a matter of degree...

None of that article should come as a surprise to anyone. It all applies to any habit.

vivid dreams yes..

quitting coffee is harder
After 3 years of daily smoking 1-2g pure weed using bongs I also currently quit. Theres basically 0 withrawal symptoms except some nervous phases during the day... I welcome all vivid dreams...

Quit caffeine at the same day. 0 drugs now for me for, at least, 4 months, then my new 15 strains will be ready for harvest and I can taste/sample them without much neuronal tolerance.

Still feel craving for a cup of coffee, but not for bonghits...

You make me feel old.
Gave up bong hits over 20yrs ago, lungs just dont like it.
I couldnt get going without my coffee.
Most of the time a hit or two off the dry herb vap is more than enough.... my tolerance is low, some would say its more efficient than most.

a friend of mine also experienced these nightly sweating attacks (living together back then I saw both him + the towel...) but I suspect it varies individually.
reason I suspect is the endocannabinoid system is more modulativ towards the other receptor systems (GABA, NMDA et al). at least, thats what I could learn from some journals on pharmacy...

poor Liz should try a hard stop of Benzodiazepine s and see "how death feels" [sic!]

did feel my lung, too... 2 weeks later, not anymore, even without sports.

If you quit caffeine for 6 weeks, the first strong cups of coffee will make you feel like a mild cokerush - high excitation, talking fastly, constant laughing, feeling ants under the skin, sweating...
and indeed, molecularily caffeine is related to cocaine

She writes the kinda story ...you would write, when you are super focused on yourself (x-ray-narcissistic vision)
your every thought... your every sensation... your every feeling...
amplified and tuned in on you.... and analyzed to the utmost expression of being
So at the end of it it sounds like she went thru hell and back.....sounds more like a heroin titration....
