No reason to go through all that...just dry it and put it in mason jars...then keep them in the dark...keeps for however long you leave it in there...But I mean if you want to spend extra money, for fun or whatever then alright vacuum them up..but there is no reason to.

Go to a wine store & get Private Preserve. Its a wine preserver thats completely safe, prevents oxidation(OF YOUR BUD) by using inert gases. argon AR, carbon dioxide CO2, and nitrogen N2. Unless you believe your vacuum sealer will suck every last atom of oxygen out of that bag, some oxidation will occur I suspect so this SHOULD keep that bud nice and fresh
Bottle can't be to much and says 120 uses, so sounds like it should do the trick for your situation

I believe you'll be fine without anything either, vacuums sealer will work just crunch the bud down and compress as much of the air out as possible

The only real way for long term is to seal it in mason jars, then vacuum seal the jar in a bag , and probably one more bag for good measure.

You can store longterm with any airtight container. I prefer glass mason jars, But anything airtight will do. Lets not make this more complicated than it is. (Stored in a cool dark area of course)

I keep my stash in masonry jars in a small refrigerator about 43 degrees F. I keep my seeds in regular refrigerator about 48 degrees F. So far no problems.
