Looking for a designated grower

My friend has his licence and was just asked last week if they wanted to be designated grower.

The person asking has a 5g a day script (25 plants) and wanted 5 oz a month. When asked about compensation they said well you can keep any extras. On top of that they wanted to be supplied from the day the licence went live. I think they could have asked this 3 years ago but not now in the current climate.

I'm always curious on what someone expects from their designated grower? I also don't think you are aloud to compensate your DG anyways.
PS I'm in the Ottawa area possibly post here to ask.

I thought there was a provision that allows you to charge the patient an hourly rate not a pergram fee. Would be interested in finding out myself if anyone knows.
Not exactly sure what the person would expect you to do with the “extra” since 95% of the growers prolly have their own script aswell.

I’ve been asked to take on licenses for others . They always say , well you get the rest . I always laugh, n say good luck with that.

Equipment,(this stuff doesn’t last forever), time, Power etc etc .
Losing part of my space. No thanks .

Anyone want to go to McDicks with me? I’m only a little hungry, so I’ll get a double Mac n you can have the rest

Ok but only if I get my portion upfront before we go!

guess it all depends on the size of plants yer growin..
pound/plant
or
10 grams/ plant

25 plants on a rotating basis. Not quite sure what people think...:???:
How much do people here think they can grow with that amount each month?(:

Well I never said she wanted anything for free she just does not want to pay LP prices for stuff that she has no idea who grew it. This used to be a good and helpful site now it just seems that every one is out to only benefit them selves. She has growers wanting $8 a gram plus shipping as well as they keep all the extra they won't store any for her in case of crop failure. So do to the comments here I am with drawing the request for a grower She will just move from where she is and grow her self she has all the equipment just can't grow where she is.

I don’t think anyone was responding directly to you or the situation you inquired about.
This site still has plenty of helpful people just takes sometime finding them.
I wasn’t trying to deter your attempt at finding a grower just highlighting how from the growers side what some patients expect for their scripts is crazy.
I would love nothing more then to grow rooms and rooms of plants to help as many people as possible.
I think growing it herself is prolly the cheapest and best way for anyone anyway.
Chances are if she can’t grow where she currently lives that means she prolly can’t smoke or medicate there freely either so a move is in order.

Is it ever an issue for the grower when a patient decides to change growers or grow their own? Do they have to chop those plants or can they finish the cycle to get their portion?

If a patient changes designated growers then legally those plants would need to be removed at that time and any storage amount that that designation allows would also need to be removed.

Also in regards to the OP growing your own is your best option. At least until you can find a legit medicinal cooperative. There is no money in it for people to take on others scripts anymore. Therefor not many are interested in doing so.

When I first got my mmar I had a guy grow for me. I had a 25 plant script and he gave me 15 oz every 3 months and sold the rest. - worked out great for several years until I started growing.
Did you have to pay anything for 15/3 months? If someone paid for nutes and watts I would grow for them.

Nope, no cash exchanged. It was a simple he hangs my license on the wall and grows and I get enough to keep me supplied in perpetuity. I wasn't his only patient. We became good friends - he's still growing today. I'm not sure if he is still a DG or just a BM grower now.

I didn't mean to imply that your friend was like this. Sorry if Implied this. It was more of from my own experiences.

She is more likely to find a DG in her circle of friends. Find a retiree who likes to garden is an option too.
