Hi guys, I'm currently using the complete line of fox farm nutrients and soil. I wanted to add a sweetener to the mix. What kind/brand should I use and when do I start using? Thanks

the ONLY thing that sweetens buds is good gardening and good genetics. Anything else is to separate you from your $$$$$

I've heard mixed reviews on hardeners and sweeteners or "snake oils" as a lot of people on here refer to them. The original berry sweet was one of the only ones I saw had good reviews for actually sweetening bud. The hardeners I don't know much about. I don't need em with good hid lighting your buds should be pretty dense depending on strain. Mine is usually dense enough for me to not want to "harden" it. Molasses if I'm not mistaken is used more so on your beneficials living in the soil. It feeds them and helps them break down nutrients for uptake in the rhizosphere (spelling? Correct me if I'm wrong). I'm currently using gh floranectar grape expectations for the first time. It contains molasses and I wanted to try it myself to form an opinion. I've only run in flowering so far. Personally I don't think I will notice much in taste because Im more true to the ideal that flavor tends to be strain specific and varies. Its in the genetics if you will. I have been curious about snowstorm and purple maxx because I've seen several reviews that they actually do increase trichome production and purple maxx has shown tendencies to increase purpling in plants. Specifically purple strains more so. Not sure this helps but like I said, alot is in the genetics. Its tried and true, so read up some reviews on fruity or sweet strains in the seed and strain section or in smoke reports someone will be able to direct you to something that twerks your interest. I'm a fan of Tga subcool running querkle right now and I can't wait to taste this beauty of a plant. They are pretty well known for flavor. By they I am referring to tga subcool

Are you serious? Sweeteners for flavor eg. Molasses, floralicious. Hardeners for density eg. Overdrive, avalanche
I'm going to have to agree with everyone else here.

Sweeteners only sweeten your medium and help to give the beneficials a little supercharge.
Over use of things like molasses can hinder the uptake of nitrogen.

Great environmental control is one of the big factors in density along with genetics and balanced feeding.

If you want to pay money for something to make you feel better then crack at it.

But remember that a magic bottle won't make up for poor genetics or growing capabilities.
