Looking for Doctor to sign and match MMAR script to ACMPR

If you ask your md for a refferal to a psychiatrist due to his expertise with adhd once the you see the psych tell him you have been told by a general practioner that you have adhd and you would like his expert opinion diagnosis. I know another patient who had to do this due to psych being the only one to diagnose mental illness for cannabis. Hope this helps bro

yup your are correct only a Psychiatrist is considered a specialist in mental health issues and is the accepted diagnosis agent

Can any psychiatrist diagnose with adhd or does it have to be one specialized with adhd?

Part of the problem is that here in SK the only thing I can find adhd related are psychologist's.

very good question i would have to research that.
i know under the mmar only a psychiatrist was accepted.
the specialty of a psychiatrist is psychiatry period. so they are specialists in the field which would encompass: anxiety, depression, adhd and so on

Any psychiatrist will do as long as they put adhd in your medical record good to go

Perfect, thx GrowRock.

I'll make an appointment this morning with my new family doctor and ask about a signature for my acmpr and if he says no I'll ask for the psychiatrist referral. Might even ask for both actually, come to think about it.

Snitches as whole need to be Buried. Shows your true chracter when things dont go your way.

There the few ones willing to sign. What happens there are no other doctors willing to sign.

So what if these doctors want to make extra cash. Yeah I said so what pay for it or get your Damn family dr to sign.

Oh your family dr wont sign thats is why these people are in place.
 
The only problem with "outing these cocksuckers" is that it's just going to make getting a license even harder than it already is. If these doctors that charge money start getting in trouble, they're not going just going to stop charging people and do it for free(although yes, i know of course they should be). they'll just stop signing and make even less options available.
I by no means saying it's right but just saying.

You are going to them. They don't need you. Why not use your family dr then?

Why don't you press your family dr to sign you and demand him to sign.

Most charge 250 for normal scripts

$1000 are for larger licenses say 40.

So where is your logic at all.

Some clinics will give you a discount if you show odsp or welfare reciept..
 
Well a lot of patients are on a very limited income....let's starts there...$250+ dollars to get a doctor to sign a script I've had for the last four years is stupid. It's forcing people...it's not gonna fly....and I am broke because I'm buying all my cannabis right now....are you even a patient?

I totally hear ya WHATFG, however it sounds like the courts are saying one thing but HC and The College of Physicians are telling doctors another. I agree it's totally wrong but is what it is, at the moment. It definitely needs fixing but not sure outing signing doctors that take money will help.
