Looking for help for my dads pain.

My dad has some serious back pain and has for many years he decided to finally kick the opioids and I’m trying to find him some alternative pain relief. He keeps telling me “I don’t like being high” when I suggest smoking. So I’ve been trying to research and I see all the different edibles ect available with less thc and more cbd. Can anyone lead me in the right direction. I tried to set him up with a doctor that does video conferencing on alternate medicine but they just told him they want $350 for an evaluation.. Any advice is greatly appreciated what I should get or what dose or amount or anything. Thank you.

Has he kicked them yet? If not, you may find that Keaton helps, but be careful with it, it can be as addictive as the pills, but much better for you, ask the dr first though, as I’m not one.
im sure someone will be along shortly with some great info on different strains to help

There's a myriad of cbd products that could work for him, from topical to edibles. Depending on your pops location, you could have lots of options easily accessible

The issue I’m having is I’m not sure how to go about it like what I should get him to try or how much. I’m worried about walking into a shop and having some kid sell me something completely wrong.

I use a cbd isolate that works well, but it’s expensive, like 25 quid a gram, but bought in wholesale you gain get it for about 2-3 quid a gram on a kilo, but try a small amount first.

I make, for my mother, potent coconut oil drops that helps her arthritis and sleep. If you're interested in making your own I can go into detail on the procedure.

.

Any edible should do, gummies are nice. Something with a head buzz if you get the choice but for a new user any strain is going to help and seem potent.

Start with a small dose and work up, edibles will take 30 minutes to kick in and the trip can be overwhelming for a beginner like your dad.

I'm not familiar with the dose he should take, someone else will come on with more experience than me and give you an amount in milligrams.

Inidca with cbd is what you want for pain. Maybe try a pen from the disp that is labeled indica and has cbd.

It depends on the source of his back pain. If it's bone or neural you need high THC. If it's related to swelling or muscle spasm, CBD might help

If he doesn't like being high he typically won't like high THC edibles. Although my husband hates smoking and loves edible. So it's individual. It's nice of you to try to help your father.

You may want to look into Kratom as well. I prefer marijuana myself but I know others who have also tried both and like Kratos better. It taste like shit though!

No Worries:

1. Weigh out 60 grams of cured bud.

2. Decarboxylize the bud - I use an Ardent Nova for best decarb and no smell.

3. I use a Magical Butter Machine for the mixing/extraction - add 800 ml of liquid coconut oil and 60 grams of decarbed bud. Set for 2 hours at 160 C.

4. When the machine is done pour the mixture through the supplied straining bag, then the oil into dropper bottles that you can buy from Amazon.

5. Start with a full dropper under your tongue, wait a half hour for effects.

My mother has had sleep problems all her life caused by arthritis, since she started taking "The Oil" she's been sleeping 7 - 8 hours a night with much less pain.

My sister in law, her mother, father and mother in law all take The Oil for similar problems, all are sleeping better because of it.
