man its looks like you know what you talk about can you tell me what you think about this led? mybe i should go diy with the boards instead?
I dont know this led personally but ive bought and been happy from Meijiu. But i do boards only and run them soft. A good idea to judge a light is to count the diodes, figure out how many watts per diode: look for many diodes for lower watts per diode.
If you have easy access to cut aluminium its easy to pick up a few loose china boards with heat sink and frame them up nicely for a lot less. Knowing how to build it means you are your own warranty. Just get a spare board and get your powersupply somewhere not china, for warranty.
Personally i think its easier to dial in even cover in a square space with boards: centre 4 in the corners and then a few in the middle.

that exactly what im afraid of .saw bk's shit show jurnal ,i dont know what genetic he grow there but he claim for optimal tump and humid,he did not do any mistakes while growing and to me its look abit thin colas for half cycle. you run the same cuts under the lights and is there any difference on tump and humid?
bro please be honest, dont let me throw 650$ and waist that time
I really do not have an honest opinion or facts to go off of yet. I can PROMISE you that you are saving a shitload of money by going with that light compared to say a gavita 1700.
If you want me to be honest , then i will. Buy a 1k or 600 watt hps and you cannot go wrong......and its 1/3 of the price. If you are trying to learn how to grow then hps is your best bet. If you already know how to grow then maybe upgrading to leds is a good idea.

IF you are only looking for ppf numbers then this light or the boards are the way to go.

Could this light be run with 2 of the Meanwell HLG-320H-48B drivers to bring it closer to the actual 650 number? Sorry if this is a dumb newb question. Just trying to decide on a new light and don't want to mess up. The a8, hlg600r, or 2 320 board kits from meijiu is what I am debating between now. I also noticed kingbrite has 320 bar setup but not sure how running two of those would work. I am by no means a master grower and in fact quite the opposite but my current light setup is not enough to cover my space

i try to replays an 600w hps but for something worthy. its still illegal here so going for something like gavita its not an option . about the ppfd its also dilema because i will sacrifice the spectrum .right now i thinking to go diy for boards but i need to research it

Bought my 135 watt Kit from HLG last Winter and put it together with the waterproof AC connection in 45 minutes or so with a couple interruptions. Easier than model cars or assembling my kids' toys. If you can change oil or replace a battery in your car, you can safely put a kit together.

Watch for “Black Friday” sale, RIU10 will get you another 10% off anytime.

Meijiu and kingbrite have both worked well for me. Try to run the boards a bit softer than standard 120w per, 60-80w and you shouldnt have to worry about burning anything down.
4 boards centered over each corner, and then some boards in the centre on a separate driver.
Get drivers from not-china, anywhere where you have an easy option for return in case of warranty. China is not worth it, shipping your unit back is going to cost more than a brand newone.

@60w per board you shouldnt need pro heatsinks, 1/8" alu sheet with 2" lip on each side and your good.

It's the light I recommend. Mine pulls 650 from the wall.

The dimmer is great, and par across the canopy is pretty even.

I have a number of different LM301B fixtures, this is my favorite. It's also the largest. Larger by a few inches than the other bar lights, so it fits just right in your 4 x 4... and would light a 5 x 5 as well.

im not sure that uvA is good idea + this diods will burn out mach faster and will kill the strip right?
On uva: yes, i think its a good idea, but with some 660 reds to compensate for the extra blues. If i understand correctly you should see something similar to the emerson effect by adding uva as it will stimulate photosystem I, just like far red. Also for traanspiration and potency.

On diodes: not sure of the count or drive current.

Really im just passing on something that i thought was relevant for someone looking at meijiu bar lights

sacrifice spectrum ? All them diodes are coming in 80cri.

edit: The a8 destroys a 600w hps with the spread. i replaced 2k with 2x650w a8's. So about 1200 watts is replacing 2k with ease.
