Looking to setup one plant grow...ideas?

So I'm thinking of just growing one plant in my apt. It doesn't have to be a closet grow and i just want a simple setup. I also want to yield as close to lb with lst and all that so the lights need to be strong enough for that and i want top quality. Any ideas for a setup? I'm open to any suggestions but not really looking for crazy high priced products. Thanks.

Thanks for the input but i said AS close to a lb as i could...strive for the best right?

For those numbers i recon ull need to grow outside.

Best bet for weight vs light id imagine would be Vertical with DWC.

yeah pretty much...I think you'll do well to think in terms of 4-6 ounces tops but its nice to aim high. One plant lst'd and scrogged and vegged for two to three months with 1000 watts of HID will give you more. Somethin to think about

With little experience this is a lofty goal. When I started though. I read the Jorje's Cervantes book and read all of grow weed easy dot com and set up a 4x4 tent with an air cooled 600. Light proofed the spare bedroom and made a good window box with exhaust. Bought fans and tons of supplies I really don't use anymore...

And planted a pack of northern lights and yielded 14 ounces of better than local weed in 4 months.

I made many mistakes and never slept but it worked.

I don't see how you are going to avoid these steps and ask a quick question on the Internet to get a pound.

It ain't easy inside.

I understand all that fellas, but i am not new to growing. Ive had a 12 plant setup for years and still do, but now at home i just wanna grow one plant. I know the LSTing, extra veg time, topping and all that good stuff to yield more. Each of the plants i grow already gets over 4 oz each. I just want some input on a somewhat simple one plant setup. Best bang for my buck to get as close to my goal as i can. So i appreciate everybodys input but lets stick to my topic of the actual setup and not growihg methods or pointers...Thanks peeps!

The numbers just don't add up in my opinion.

Put that 1 plant under 1 1000 watt light in a 25 gallon pot of soilless medium or coco, and get some Canna nutes. Veg for 4-6 weeks, and if you do it without making too many mistakes, you should get atleast a pound off of her.

1 plant scrog, fill a 1m2 net and I mean a real scrog not a net on a plant. slap a good light over it, cobs or cmh, grow in a massive airpot or something. All those things will help you fill out your root zone and net and flip her to flower.. Its doable, I'm sure ive seen a pound in scrog with one plant before, just cant remember who has done it.
1 plant topped, LSTd and wonderfully trained into a perfect scrog..
google one plant scrog, loads of examples of it done. one was 12 oz from 400whps.. that's easy beaten

I thought a 4x4 tent with an air cooled 600 HPS and a stealth window exhaust was a good setup for my apartment. Like it was never there when I moved.

If you already yield well with 12 plants why are you asking such a basic question then? How bout some more details or something.

You are not likely to grow a pound without the right genetics and environment. What is your budget? Space? Electric capacity? Etc.

How To Grow Just One Marijuana Plant At Home

Below are some links to some old forum posts that you might find inspiring. Some of the information will be duplicate across the threads as they're from the same grower. You'll see that getting close to a pound is achievable if you have some growing experience.

You'll read plenty about the method there but the basics are:

• 4x4 space
• 600w light
• 8 week veg - 8week(+) flower. If you can have two spaces where you can veg one plant and flower one elswehere you can be pulling one down every 8 weeks. However the first time round is going to take you about 16 weeks/4 months. Which is really just 4 weeks more from a 4 week veg, being patient that first time can really reward.
• Bending and topping in veg for 7 weeks
• Scrog, supporting buds with line
• Rock wool medium transplanting up to a 6 gallon pot
• Hydroponic top feed system, nutrients delivered by a water pump from a oxygenated nutrient reservoir featuring an air stone, however the air stone probably isn't needed (if sound is a problem, the rockwool dries out pretty quickly). Rather than drain to waste excess drains back to the reservoir. Plants can be left for a couple of days at a time.
• Feeding schedule is simply one for veg and one for flower.

I appreciate everybodys input for the most part minus the numbers guy...i didnt give any numbers aside from getting as close to lb as i can off one plant lol but yeah ill be looking into those scrog setups u guys mentioned. I guess it can be done lol

And my 12 plants are grown away from my place so i just keep it simple with everything ie. No training, just supersoil and water. But shit, im tryna grow one beauty at my apt for me to smoke and that my friends is why im asking for help cuz i can mess around a bit and try new sh!t

As long as you're willing to take a shot, it's possible but it has to go off without a hitch and in my opinion, a grow tent in order to maximize the light. That being said, you're an experienced grower from the looks of it so go for it and show us some awesome pictures afterwards

I don't buy into the hype/brand names and I grow on the cheap: $15 600w Apollo HPS, $35 25lb Jacks ferts, $?.?? (practically free) DIY grow bag, $29 3.8 cu ft bale of ProMix HP w/Myco, $6 60 pound bag of Dolimite Lime and 8 weeks veg and 7 weeks flower = 1+ pound all day. Stupid simple and easy. I don't understand why some people like to make growing weed alot harder and complicated than it really is. If you scrog and/or train, you'll get even better results.

Exactly im pulling 4-6 oz each off 12 plants under 1200w hps, I'm pretty sure if i focus on one plant and actually train it ill get around a lb. just wanna expirement with the setup though and im thinking the tent scrog would do. But i might go LED for the lights to avoid heat idk still researchin
