Low humidity + exhaust solutions?

Hey everyone. I’m in the Midwest and right now it’s freezing and humidity is super low (around 20% and under in my apartment) I went thru a WPM fiasco a few weeks ago before I changed locations but I figured out it was more of a super low humidity making my plants weak and stunted more than anything.

now I’m in a new place with all new equipment and starting over but I’m still battling low humidity. Good news is that I have an automatic humidifier in my tent now that shuts off at the desired humidity. Bad news is that when you combine this with having an exhaust fan it sucks the humidity right back out the tent when the fan is on.

my solution right now is that I have an AC infinity inline fan. I have it set to only turn on when either the humidity is over 65% (I’m in early veg) or when the temps reach 85deg. I didn’t want to set it to turn on at 80 because the tent reaches a constant 80 with lights on. But I need the exhaust to turn on so that the tent doesn’t overheat. So would this basically be the best solution without buying a portable AC to keep temps down? I don’t wanna buy a portable AC and also add to my electric. I may just crack a few windows in my grow room.

Thoughts?

exhaust fan should run 24/7. I never worry about low humidity, only high humidity because mold. These girls grew just fine at 20-30% humidity.....

This was they day i flipped to flower. They never got over 30% humidity before this point.

And this is where we are now. Humidity sits at 40% because they have filled the tent and are keeping my entire house at 40-50% humidity.

Are you exhausting outside?

No not outside. Dispersing into my apartment for now. Low humidity has caused me issues because it changes how the plants uptake water and can cause weak root systems. I was getting slow growth until I put a humidifier in my tent and then next day my plants definitely started to blow up.

Or maybe they were about to blow up anyway.

If your that dead set on humidity, run the humidifier in the room your tent is in, run the exhaust fan 24/7. If the humidity in the room your tent is in is 50-60% then thats the air your tent will always be taking in.
