so my plants are suffering from lockout due to alkaline soil, what is the safest way to lower the ph in the soil?
What are you measuring your pH with? If it is one of those 2 pronged 'soil' meters, throw it away. They are so inaccurate, they are worse than useless.so my plants are suffering from lockout due to alkaline soil, what is the safest way to lower the ph in the soil?
thats exactly what i was using, i already added acid to the watering to bring the alkaline down, i just used happy frog soil with botanicare veg+soil flower for most of the feedingsWhat are you measuring your pH with? If you are using any sort of bagged soil, they are usually acidic and not alkaline. If you are growing in real dirt, in the ground and out west, perhaps.
