Lowryder #1 First Grow

Just was reading a few things, supposedly Autoflowers veg for 14-21 days, then start to show sex and flower after that.
Since i never had 6500k it never really vegged, This is why it is so small I THINK.

quote..

"Autoflowers vegetate for around 14-21 days and then they show sex and start to flower/vegetate, use the 6500k through those 14-21 days, once you start seein pistils(or balls if your seedmaking and or hash too) then switch to your flowering, which is your 2500k"

So Maybe i just screwedddddddddd myself lol. I hope i get atleast 5-6 grams >.>

Anyways, after i harvest her i am going to start another one and try the 6500k lights until day 20 or 21 (thats when i saw the first pre bud on lucy) then switch to the 2700k :) I think this will work A LOT better, anyone agree hehe ?

Which one should I grow, Autoflower preferably.

Well, I bet you will be able to get a better yield with your lowryder since you know what will work for it after this grow. But don't start either one without a ph meter.. I'd buy you one if I knew you'd use it lol

Yeah mannnn i prolly will get a better one next time. I don't have a car right now to go and get one, thats the only problem. If i had one though i'd use it, thing is if i order online it will take time to get here lol, ANDDDD i might not have any paypal money. Ill check haha

no car sucks...

I think either one of those would work. 80 will get you through several grows because you only need to do it every other watering or so, and if you know the ph of your water and it can be even longer. But if you add nutes you will be checking it more often to make sure the nutes didnt set your water off by a lot. When I added superthrive to my water, 1 tsp dropped it from about 6.5 -7.0 to 4.0 - 5.0 but I forget you use the flowering tabs rather than liquid nutes. Honestly, if you think you are going to be growing consistently, I'd get this: http://www.amazon.com/pH-Control-Kit-General-Hydroponics/dp/B000BNKWZY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1295725722&sr=8-1 and a soil ph meter. I can't really suggest a specific soil ph meter because when i was researching for one all the reviews on Amazon were people kinda disappointed with its accuracy which is why I bought an $80 Kelway on ebay for accuracy. But with that kit at least you will be able to check what your water is and adjust it.

Hmm, that kit looks good. I forgot about if the ph did come up wrong id have to have stuff to change it lol. I probably will order one by atleast the time lucy finishes, i say i just let lucy finish growing and hope to get a good result. Then on new plants i can ph meter it

I think as long as you know what the ph of your water is you dont really need to know the ph of your soil because the continued waterings of your water will adjust the soils ph to whatever the water is. I THINK. Plus the ph up and down will last a LONG time, it only takes a few mL to change a gallon of water by 1.0 or more.

Hey Millyy, I had a shit load of problems with my 1st grow of Sassy. By the time I started growing the auto Blue Mystics, I had a few things dialed in. I understood more about nutrients, lights and ventilation. I would suggest you do the auto Lowryder again since you are now familiar with how this strain works. You understand which lights to use and when to use them:) You have a better understanding about the veggie time and the flowering time. You're learning that certain tools are a must when growing:) I would get either the strips ( for .99 cent and free shipping, a good deal) or the kit. I have the Kit because it comes with the pH up and down which helps you make sure your water is always at the appropriate pH level. You can use a few drops of the pH Up if the pH level in the water is too low or pH Down if the level in the water is to high. I messed up with San but I learned what not to do to Joni. Lucy is really starting to frost up, her leaves are shiny because she's putting out resin.

Thanks for the support Chief! I thought Sassy turned out pretty good hehe. I also thought i knew what i was doing but hey, you were right about i should make a grow journal. I really have learned a lot. I think next lowryder grow i will be able to have everythign more organized, and not so much of a rush. I now know That even though it's a lowryder i still need to use 6500k until it shows sex, at day 20 or 21 or so, Then switch over to 2700k. I am pretty sure next one will definitely be tallerrrrr, I'm hoping so. But hey, Lucy may end up growing a little more, i just doupt it. Once the next one comes around it will be close to warmer weather so i won't have to worry about stunting her growth with coldness. I might just go ahead and buy the ph kit since if my ph was screwed, i'd need the stuff to lower/higher it anyway. So having the strips and nothing to change the ph would be quite pointless.
Also, i did not know that is why shes getting shiny, all though i can never see the shinyness unless the camera takes a flash pic.

Hopefully Lucy yields enough for a couple smokes though :((((

EDIT: In picture 5 you can see the pre bud in the middle of her :D

Don't get down on yourself...I think it looks really good for your first grow. Much better than my first grow. I grew bag seed outdoors and didn't realize that these plants turn into trees. And stink to high heaven...I got bugs and nutrient lockout several times. Lucky I was in a legal grow state. And kinda in the country...the bud was weak and I didn't grow for two years after. But I got back on the horse and have had a blast growing everywhere I've lived. It's a learning process and no one is born with the knowledge to grow ultra high quality cannabis and don't get it mistaken that's what you are doing. So take it easy on yourself and on your plants for that matter. Good luck and I look forward to seeing what comes next.

Thanks man, I guess i shouldn't haha it is my first grow. I am just hopeing i get atleast a couple Grams :) I think at the height shes at now and when she gets fully budded or grown i think a couple grams would be possible :p

Note: I will probably be flushing her again tomorrow if the soil is dry again.

Milly i bet she's gonna get bigger in the next 30, besides you caught the lighting and adjusted it. versatile plants we have

The vertical growth may have slowed just because that's part of the lowryder's genetics, but there's no way it will be that height when you harvest. I'm guessing you're looking at 3 grams on Lucy right now and they will probably grow to around 5 just in that area of growth, but im sure it will get a little taller. A lot of first time growers never get to harvest though, millyy, so keep that in mind.

Hmm could get taller but idk haha, i think I'm going to be able to harvest if it keeps going like this. If the problem gets worse then maybe not, but for now...I think i will

I also just thought of something, doesn't the plant grow like 2 times taller once it hits flowering stage? If so, Lucy could very well grow taller :o
