You can't clone auto-flowers (or at least the article they're impractical to clone) but you can propagate them - create seeds that is. I also know you can purchase feminized seeds. Question: Can the average grower create feminized seeds? How do you go about it?

Man gotta love the LR#2 so fast an easy to grow, jus plant and let it go. The only prob is having to buy seeds everytime. Grows lookin good tho heftamga. How old are your oldest ones? I included some pics of my LR2, its about 5-6 weeks and prolly got around 3 left. Keep us posted

bongsmiliehere are 2 pix of a lowryder hermie that i had, if you get lucky some of this will be growing and you can polinate a female plant with it. then you get feminized seeds, hope this answers your questionbongsmilie

Yes, correct.

Sorry to push this, but I thought I had heard differently. I'll start a separate not to hijack yours, but I thought I should update here. Please see the full article and let me know if this guy is full of shit (doubting that).

I named this new method “Rodelization” after a friend who helped me realize and make use of this way of creating female cannabis seeds. After growing crop after crop of the same plant in the same conditions, I noticed that if I flowered the plants 10-14 days longer than usual, they would develop male “bananas”. A male banana is a very slight male flower on a female marijuana plant that is formed because of stress. Usually they do not let out any pollen early enough to make marijuana seeds, but they sometimes do. They are a built in safety factor so in case of sever conditions, the plant can make sure that the species is furthered.

yes he is correct, i had a few plants of orange buds six months ago. they have been in to flowering 10 days longer and one of them produced male so called bannanas. i found 3 - 5 of them on the plant. i read somewhere that this is a natural procedure of survival of the species bongsmilie and thanks for the link :-P i like to learn ;-)

I figure the biggest thing is being able to create your own female seeds of an auto-flowering plant - man, low maintenance grow.

yep its only to ensure the genetics will be passed on to the next generation

its hard to do so,i tried to feminize a autos but no luck,i had one girl who hermed but the male flower didnt fully develope, witch is a bummer

fucking around with light sched with autos wont cause them to herm either

This is also in that article, and isnt it basicaly doing the same thing?

You can also use this pollen to make new female crosses by cross pollinating. The older females with the bananas can be brought into the room with the younger, un-pollinated females when they are three weeks into flowering. Turn all of the circulation fans on high, and the little bits of pollen will proceed to make it around the room. Do this for several days. Six to seven weeks later you will have ripe 100% female seeds; not nearly as many as a male plant would make, but enough to start over somewhere else with the same genetics.

today i transplanted 23 female :leaf:plants:weed: that i'we found into bigger pots. i found 20 male plants and i throw them away. i hope others show sex soon so that i can transplant them in the next few days.
