What phase are you in? Veg or bloom?

Lucas formula is used at 1300 PPM throughout the whole Vegetative and flowering cycle. 1200 - 1400 is fine.

I had same problem running Lucas at around 1000 ppm,. I Re-read Lucas instructions then kicked it up to 1300, fixed everything.

What phase are you in? How far along? Lucas formula is the bomb but you need to keep the PPM in the correct range.

Exactly as Green Thumb said in the above post.

I used the LF for many, many years with excellent results.

first off I'd like to thank you for answering my petty lil threads Im in the first week flower ! and doesnt 1300 seem like alot to give the ladies and another thing Ive noticed I used the formula to the letter and I still havent reached 1200, ive added back once this week and I think I seen 11and change so should I go above the 8/16 to reach my target ? I noticed alot of variations to the lucas formula due to medium, nute amounts and different systems :is there anything I should take into account since Im using an AF60 and I have a cycle timer feeding for 15 secondson and 45 off, should I change my cycle timeso that they can get more/less oxygen ?

I dont go by the 8|16 rule. I just go by PPM. When I fill the res I add fertilizer in increments until it is at 1300 ppm.

I add back with solution that is about 450 ppm. That keeps it pretty close to 1300.

The other way i do it is when it gets below 1200 PPM, I bring it back up to 1300ppm. If it gets over 1400 ppm, I top with plain water and bring it down to 1300. Just keep zeroing in on 1300 when you top off your solution.

When I first started using Lucas, the numbers seemed a little high too, but it has been used for years and years by many people and is tried and true and consistent.

Just trust the formula and let it work it's magic.

i was thinking about using the LF with this grow, i didnt use it last time and it seems like with the 3 part GH i always end up with a phosphuros problem sometime during the grow, does it pretty much require a Ppm meter to use the formula or can u just do a 1 to 2 part ratio with the micro and bloom?
