I take it you’re happy with how the latest configuration of rockwool is working out?
Yep. The middle row is way more rooty than the rest, so I'm looking forward to harvest so that I can inspect them all. I'm pretty sure that if I get them into the boxes earlier I will avoid all of the issues I had this time. This grow is definitely nicer than my last, so I think I'm on the right track.

I forgot to post these yesterday. I already pulled a plant out of the front, hence the void.

Not my greatest grow, but better than the last. A few leaves caught a fair burn, but for the most I kept them green all the way through. Buds are foxtailed in one plot and small in the other, but I'll correct those issues during the next run. I do think I have the EC and number of watering cycles down, which I've been struggling with since I switched over to powdered salts. Also no root rot that I can see, which has been a problem when running rockwool.

I still need to harvest the rest. I worked on some other stuff today, but will get back to it tomorrow.

Also, it's pretty crazy how dense the canopy became after basically schwazzled or whatever. I defoliated way more on the foxtailed side than the small bud side. The plants of the small bud side were pretty beat up going into flower, so I don't think there's a correlation.

I was making shatter this evening, but I screwed up and forgot to change out the filter paper when I packed the column. So it clogged up while blasting and I ended up having to release a bunch of butane. I have a ball valve that I'm going to start using between the column and the filters so that I can close it off and fix the issue if it happens again. I need to buy a few parts first, but I think I'm finally going to get around to running a closed loop system. I could have recaptured the butane and tried again if I hadn't been open blasting.

That said, I did collect what appears to be a decent amount of goop before it clogged. It wasn't a complete loss.

It takes too long to post pictures from my phone since I'm currently turtled, so I'm just linking this IG video. It doesn't look like the clog affected the run too much. I left it in the oven for awhile before I vacuumed it so the muffin wasn't very big, but it was dense. I'm a little worried that it will wax up since it was sitting in the collection pot for so long. It has a pretty golden color. The first run after a harvest is always the prettiest.

I cleaned the flowering tent and moved the plants in yesterday. I had been running 5 rows, but since I'm only running 3 this time I had to drill new holes in the drainage pipe and setup tubing so that the trays were dead center of each 4x4. It's kind of cool because I have a bunch of possible configurations now. I put caps that came with the trays in the drain tubes I'm not using.

I let the plants get really big since there were only 3 rows. I have two lights in my veg room now, so I can spread out the plants a lot better than before. I also I topped them really low, so the branches were flexible and were easy to scrog. Which is what I did today. I'm going to let them go a day or two and then I'll flip to flower.
