M2 which meaning is true?

ok 4 the first time in a while I'm alil confused reason why you may ask it's because when I first started growing I looked up "What does m2 weed means"... B4 I joined rollitup

Now what i was reading Said " 500g/m2 means Squared meter yes i know that ,but alot of people was saying it means your one plant will yield 500g under 1000w hps" ...

Now when I look it up people are saying it means SOG all your plants together will yield 500g/m2...

All am asking from the good growers of rollitup tell me which answer is right or are both of them wrong, or whats the right answer...

I wonder if this is something just to suck u into buying the seed & you have to found out yourself hmmmmmmmmm well let me know...

I have asked this same question over and over...I have a 400w light and I usually yield 336 grams for the whole grow at a given harvest time...and I keep asking if the gpw is per plant, or for the whole grow.

I get around 3 oz per plant with 4 plants flowering at a time...so 336 grams is pretty close to 1 gram per watt total...but if the gpw is per plant then I am doing poorly...

Everything I've read (not on here) in books. Gpw is total yeild from all plants under your light divided by how many watts. M2 is meter squared. And that's about 3foot squared so that would be close to the footprint of a 400w light. I'm sure someone will show up and have it all broke down with math and all but that's what I know it to be.

It's marketing and hype. 'Regular' seed company's do it also. They will state the absolute maximum under perfect conditions which you or I will never achieve.

missnu is realistic with his/her yield. 75-80% of the stated yield is okee dokey.
