2 Blue Widow almost done flowering I think? I've done so much research and I still am unsure. It is my first fem grow and i'm so excited to see, smell, and taste the fruits of my labor! Does anyone recommend doing a 36hr dark period before cutting down? I read some do that to shock the plant into producing the last bit of resin it can. When I cut them down I think i'm going to hang the plants without trimming, any opinions on that would be most helpful. Some say it dries much slower that way (which is good?) and the leaves are easier to trim.

Here's my set up:

-357Magnum LED
-FoxFarm Oceanforest soil
- #1 rootmaker pot, 3gal
- #1 Airpot, 3gal
- Great White Mycorrhizae
- GH 3 part FloraBloom

Looks great!! Looks like you got a few more days to wait but almost there. The dark period is debatable, I never do it... if you are desperate for more trichs at this point, you have done something wrong!! haha but I can see your plant is covered with trichs so I wouldnt be too worry, either way you won't be able to tell the difference!! just do half the plant one way and the other half the other way. Trimming after drying is HARDER, not easier, unless you are planning on leaving the sugar leaves on.

You want the buds to dry very slowly, but if like me your drying room is very dry, what I like to do is use a grocery paper bag to slow the process down and start curing. So I hang and dry for 2-3 days and then into the paper bag for a couple days. With my setup, it's ready for jarring after that, but I have to monitor and most likely leave the jar open for 4 hours every other day until it's at the right level of moisture. Once the stem crack when you bend it, that's when you can keep the jar close for 7 days, burp, 7 days, burp ... as time goes on I try not to open the jar at all ... but usually I ll open the jar on and off up to a month after harvest, then I feel good to store for long term. That's how I do it.

Those look.way good.

I hang in.a wardrobe box. 5-7 days. Then jar up and cure.

Dark period definitely works. But I only do it for 24 hours. Any longer and the buds start the drying process . Spongey without even chopping. they resin up so much more in those 24 hours.

I go back and forth between trimming fresh and dry. fresh always look better. But take longer to cure til good flavors come out. Dry trimming. Buds taste and smell good right from hanging without cure. that is also strain dependent too. Some come out better dry trim and the others the opposite.

From experience, white widows take forever! Whenever u think it's dome, add a week or two or three
Check for amber hairs
