Usually only takes about a week to form......ya can't stop it from occurring.

What is pool bleach?

I've used both in my hot tub. But I decided bleach works better for me. I already have slightly hard water with some Ca, so adding more just makes the pH rise more. One leaves salts and the other Ca.

I'd use either for cleaning dehumidifiers though. I'm not a Hydro guy, but I'm guessing the Ca hypochlorite would be better than the sodium. But I'm not Hydro expert.

Just a generic term for pool/spa disinfectant;the chlorine derivative products to kill/prevent microorganisms in said waters. The pool products usually come as dry powders/crystals and store much longer than liquid bleaches.

I know what you're saying. The specific pool bleach you're talking about is just a higher concentration of sodium hypochlorite than Clorox.

I have a couple of different pool shock chlorines in dry form.
