Color does not affect potency. If your plants are genetically purple, thats fine. People who drop temp to get color hurt the plant and it does lower the yield. how much or a significant amount? who knows. but if they turn color due to temp drop, that is stress and a stressed plant does not produce as much if that stressful condition is persistent.
