male or female???

Final Phase

I should be an expert at this by now... I mostly grow with clones, but seeds come into play now and then for me. I've been fooled two times and was lucky the fans weren't on when the male began opening it's pollen sacks. I was able to carefully cut the plant down without it getting the rest of the grow. If you are able to observe it several times a day you might want to let them go a little further until you are sure. From what I can see from your pics - I just can't tell yet.

The first pic you put up looks like a male - but that ball isn't where the pollen sacks will be located later on...

This is a tricky step - Good luck...

lots of males...just planted 2 regular mr.nice shit and 2 critical mass and 1 bcbd fire og bx3,, fire og was a herm, 3rd herm this year after 20 years of never seeing a real herm..the 2 critical are females 5 days into flower already showing, 1 shit is a female wile the other isnt showing yet,,all were vegged for almost 2 moths and have been in flower for 5 days.. i usually can tell ex with a 30x mag glass at 12 days into 12/12..so im happy seeing sex early on these..
looks like your having alot of males,,,i believe out of 10 seeds you always get more females than males, even in male enviroments, but maybe thats just the case in my studies??

I also had a hard time spotting the males in the beginning.... They all seem to look male until you actually find one that is... after that they're real easy to spot. It looks a little too early to tell for sure, but the very first pic u posted looks like it might be male.

if this is pre-flower i wouldn't be pulling any plants yet, you can't really know sex for sure until a couple weeks into flowering stage. pre-flower sexing isn't %100 accurate and I would only throw out plants that appear to be male if they are problems in your grow room like you don't have enough space or light or something. Remember you won't know for sure until flower, but they start showing signs of sex in veg this doesn't mean anything for sure!

ive grown hundreds of strains and have never had a plant show sex in veg and i veg all seedlings for a minimum of 2 months for maturity...however the clones i replace the mother with always show sex in veg even though the clone has never seen less than 20 hours of light... i take that back, i had 1 critical mass fem seed that showed sex after the 7th week in veg..
