MAOI and Rectal Adminstration

Took about 2 grams of syrian rue orally today at about 9pm and just shot about 25mg of 2c-b rectally today. It's coming on a lot stronger than it would if I orally dosed it. Just wondering would the MAOI I took a while ago effect it at all or am I just being paranoid?

Sure thing! Although, I think rectal administration would pretty much do the same thing as oral with an MAOI. So... Have fun!!! :D

wait so the MAOI would have the same effects? Could it be dangerous with the phenethylamine :/. That's mostly what I wanted to know. I've vomited twice now since I shot it. But I also drank some ayahuasca that had a little effect earlier in the day...

Well you're not the first to take 2cb through the back door, so I think you'll be fine. Smoke a spliff! ;)

Or were you wondering if you should have just eaten it instead? Probably would have been more comfortable, with what I assume would be nearly the same effects.

Yeah, I'm sure the huasca is what was making you sick. Maybe the great ANC or Shepj could chime in here? Just in case I'm mistaken.

I was just wondering if the Syrian Rue (oral) would potentate the 2c-b (rectal) at all in a negative way. Such effects like serotonin syndrome and stuff...

Just saying, oral with an maoi or rectally where there is no mao would pretty much do the same thing. So having taken it rectally you have already bypassed the mao in your stomach, so your maoi's wouldn't do much down there.

Serotonin Syndrome:

Symptoms occur within minutes to hours, and may include:
Agitation or restlessness
Diarrhea
Fast heart beat
Hallucinations
Increased body temperature
Loss of coordination
Nausea
Overactive reflexes
Rapid changes in blood pressure
Vomiting

Just keep an eye on yourself. You can obviously disregard the hallucinations part. LoL That's gonna happen. :D

If you have 3 or more of those symptoms is when you need to worry about it.

Well the ayahuasca had little effect on me so I assumed it would be alright with the 2c-b since it was rectal. I just wanna know if I have any problems with the MAOI and the 2c-b :/

The only things I can find say you shouldn't mix 2cb and maoi's, but they don't really elaborate. I'm assuming it can cause the serotonin syndrome, so just keep an eye on yourself, and try to relax. At the very least it will prolong the experience because of the maoi inhibiting the breakdown of serotonin.

I'm not sure dude, I'm not knowledgeable in MAOI's or 2c-b. But I'm sure youll be okay :D

Just relax, drink fluids and try to enjoy what you can!

Alright, I did vomit again. I've been getting random bouts of nausea. But it's been about 2hrs since I shot it, I'm guessing I should be alright. The only thing that has me worried or had me worried was the vomiting which I could not differentiate wheither it was the ayahuasca or 2c-b. Everything I have been vomiting though is mostly water and a seed of Rue or two.

Yeah. I would seek help, though, if you start having these symptoms:

Agitation
Diarrhea
Heavy sweating not due to activity
Fever
Mental status changes such as confusion or hypomania
Muscle spasms (myoclonus)
Overactive reflexes (hyperreflexia)
Shivering
Tremor
Uncoordinated movements (ataxia)
