Dang,

The documents taken from Trump's safe have only now reached their secure location in the DOJ's evidence room. The ink is barely dry on the warrant that authorized the raid. How could he possibly know the facts behind this search? It is true that Republicans have no use for facts when jumping to a conclusion, but dang, he could at least have paused for a moment so he could have pretended to know what justified it.

Given the pace and secrecy behind Garland's DOJ's investigation, their discipline is impressive. We can be certain that they followed due process, including retention of the documents used to justify the search. Of course the DOJ was aware there will be a congressional investigation. Not only that, but after four years plus an attempted coup by Trump, DC has become comfortable with weaponized politicization. McCarthy's statement wasn't the threat he intended, it was a reminder of what it's like to live under Republican rule.

i read a blurb from alan dershowitz about how it should have a subpoena and not a warrant. sad to see how much of a sycophant he has become. he's an epstein client too.
