Marijuana Tea? What?

with my last harvest, me and my buddy threw some stems(a handful) in my coffee maker. we let it run twice. the water that comes out is a nasty green and doesnt taste too great. we each had a few sips and couldnt drink anymore, but soon realized we were fucked up. it actually surprised me a lot that it did anything, but it did. it was just plain water, so idk why we got high lol

Made some tea a bit back just as tea tea not medicated tea, didn't taste too bad, and gave a slightly tingly mouth :D

my friend took this big clear ziplock bag of stems, boiled them for 30min. it gave a body buzz and the tea tasted really sweet.

i'm just beginning to experiment with other ways of medicating than smoking but from what i'm getting as i read is that while THC is not water soluble alot of the other 60 or so cannabinoids that help with pain, anxiety and high blood pressure are... i just got a batch of scrap and trim with lots of stems and hating to waste anything was thinking about tea with the stems... one thought i had was to use food grade glycerin in the water to bind the thc... it's tasteless , cholestoral free and has no effect on blood sugar... things a prediabetic high cardiac risk pt has to think about... my first batch is cooling in the fridge... i broke up the stems and ground them in the coffee grinder, put them in a big pile in middle of a coffee filter and used a lil cotton thread to sew a secon filter on top making a "giant tea bag" ... i filled the crock pot 3/4 full and put in a 1/4 cup of glycerin and let it come to a boil on the high setting... tossed in my tea bag and let it boil for 20 mins... turned the heat to low and let it simmer 6 hours... removed the tea bag, tasted, gagged, added honey and vanilla... i'm hoping it's better cold over ice...i think i let it simmer too long tho as it tastes horrible warm even with a ton of honey and dash of vanilla in it that i thought would take off some of the bitterness... i'm not sure how much glycerin really to use or how long to let it simmer for in order to get a good extraction and decent taste... but i figure it will be fun to experiment and water and stem you'd otherwise throw away might as well.. glygerin in that amount isnt that expensive to be experiment preventive :)
