Hey fellow pot smokers,
I just got through a 5 hour documentary of the life and work of Mark Emery and I have to say I am extremely impressed with the mans work. I mean, I knew his reputation as the prince of pot, which I'm pretty sure everyone knows, but I'm 18 years old, in the prime of Mark's movement I had little time for politics I was probably about 13 or 14. Anyway what I'm getting at is until I watched this full documentary I didn't realize how much ground Emery actually gained ,while the Liberals were in power, towards the legalization of marijuana. The documentary kind of gave me hope for when he gets out, my question to you guys is, do you think when he gets out he will be able to lead his rebellion even further, maybe even possibly to the point of legalization of cannabis in Canada?

Really?!!? Last I heard he was sentenced to 10 years in 2010 minus 5 years of time served. I think he should be out by 2015? correct me if I'm wrong. Either way, even if he was suppose to be in jail until he's 86 there is a massive community working tirlessly on petitions, appeals and whatever other possible processes can be used to get Marc out early that I defintily beleive can make a diffrence in his case. I guess I'm just hopeful. By the way addressing my OP.....not Mark, Marc***my bad=)

I live in London,On, where Marc was born and a local made a documentary on him but I beleive you can order it online as well. It is called the principle of pot, part 1 is about 2 hours and part 2 is about 2 and a half hours. Check it out, its pretty cool, extremly bias though (needless to say)

Yeah I just checked, 5 years in jail and 4 years of supervised release
Thats great news, Im telling you he is coming back with a passion, I think he is going to move Canadian sovreginty amongst his core issues considering he beleives the Canadian conservatives are just puppets for the American Republicans, obviosuly because of his unfair extradition, he got charged in Canada, put in jail in the US. I also think that when he comes out it may be an extremly prosperous time for all marijuana users. If Emery contiuns his uphill battle against the govenments and towards the individual right to choose and not to force others, I really do beleive he can make this country a much better place and maybe a step closer to actually being "free" humans
