Time for the fun part, we are ready to grow!! Woohoooo!!! There are many methods for germination, but, for this grow, I used the glass of water method. I simply dropped the seed into a glass of water for 24hr. Then planted the seed about 1inch or 1 knuckle length into the dirt. I've gone too shallow before, like a half inch and the seedlings toppled over and died, no good. I then watered on top of the planted seed lightly and LET IT GO until the seedling immerges. Do Not water every day until a seedling immerges, it might die or get stunted immediately. Water 2-3 days after planting seed , very very lightly. You are not trying to water for runoff. Just a normal, shot glass sized amount initially.

These are my 3 plants for the winter grow, all growing under a Mars Hydro ts1000w and doing well. Here's a glimpse of my plants progress from day 10 from soil pop, to now. (:

Very cool..... I have pretty much the same set up as you..... My tent is a little bigger, but, not by much.
I have 2 plants started now.....
Raspberry Cough
Black Jack

Raspberry is a week older than the Black Jack. I am going to try to try to Mainline/Manifold both of the plants. My last grow I didn't really trim up the plants, I topped them, then just let them grow. I don't want to do that again. The Buds weren't too good on the colas. and there were a bunch of airy buds all over the place. PIA to trim. I will pay more attention this time to the plants.

It will be cool to watch your grow parallel to mine...

I just put the young plants into the tent. I started them as the other ones were finishing up in the tent. I put the Mars Hydo within 2 feet of the plants on 50% dimmed till they get use to the new light. I think I am going to transplant them today 3 Gallon Fabric bags today.

The Mars Hydro ts1000w is absolutely badass!!! It does not get really hot at all, it makes a perfect temp'd grow tent for ideal atmospheric conditions. A little added humidity and wind flow has these plants thinking that they're deep in the jungles of Nam' .
Again, not trying to beat a dead horse, but the light is friggin fantastic!!! Its inexpensive, you will save money with this light. My whole grow probably adds 20$ a month to my electric bill, Not Bad! I've ran this light almost half a year already and its running strong as ever. Its lightweight, easy to adjust and move. Dimmable, which seedlings and plants in early veg will need weaker light intensities depending on the height over your canopy.
I leave my Mars Hydro ts1000 about 16in away from canopy during seedlings for warmth and also lower the intensity to 25-40% to not overly blast the plants with light. They seem to respond better to a lower light intensity in the first few weeks, unless you keep your light 40+ inches away from canopy, then you may need 100% light output. It all depends on your grow setup.

View attachment 4795099an added Co2 bag , this bag gets a lot of haters, but they do their part
I use a gallon jug with Sugar Water, and Brewers Yeast...... LOL...... I don't put it in till I put it 12/12.... But always notice a difference once I add the jug..... LOL...... My son is a manager at a "gas" dealer...... I know people go in and get CO2 canisters for grow room..... I figure my tent is so small I figure the Jug method is just fine.....

Just transplanted them, and put a heating mat underneath the plants for when the light goes out, the heating pad will come on and keep them a little warmer during the night....
