MarsHydro FC6500 and Future #1 rdwc

Welcome everyone.

MarsHydro packs there products very well to avoid damage in transit.


The folding design makes hanging these bigger fixtures much easier.

Going to jump right in , currently the ladies are 18 days into flower.

Running Anesia Seeds future #1 in the tank.

The 4 were mainlined to 8 .

I have been fighting a pm issue. Not exactly sure if I resolved , probably not but at this time I’m feel fine moving forward.

So with that, I have sprayed some herbicide to try and control the issue , I believe it has helped and in the mean time we grow.

Congrats on the light man.. im really digging the look of that fc6500.. i think it would look better hanging over my plants.

Its been a couple days and I am stoked on how well the FC6500 from MarsHydro spreads the light.

Should be able to get a much more even canopy going.

Ladies now stand 20-28 inches , shooting up quickly.

What did you spray on them? Citric acid?

With ortho disease b gone.
They do make a copper one also , but that’s not it.
Have some peroxide also mixed up, tested on an area , so I may consider washing with that also.
Trimming leaves off would also be fine but it seems most damage is on the bigger leaves and has not moved in further.

So what are you spraying for?.. pm? I didnt see where you said you were spraying..

That’s correct , I picked up powdery mildew and I have sprayed bgone herbicide at a rate for cucumbers for pm. 1tbsp/g.

It leaves that residue behind which I would assume puts a barrier for further infection.

Some leaves you can see were spray has possibly attacked it but I’m not so sure it’s stopped it.

It can cake up , but its far from that . Yet , nor do I want to see that.

Peroxide looks to work for instant killing , have yet to tell for sure though. Visually I like it.

Proxide is what ive alway used or milk when im outdoors..

Mildew is a relentless issue.

I defoliated somewhat and swear I made it worse, noticing the next day.

I then deemed an emergency.
Defoliated more killed the lights went ahead and soaked down with peroxide and water.

Fan dried over the next 45 minutes and turned light back on.

Following day I could see some improvement so that evening I treated again with peroxide.

So they have been under a bit of stress from the spray but believe there back on the mend.

Growing well but the mildew is picking up steam.

Washing with a 40-1 mix of 30% peroxide had slowed growth and reddened many hairs.

After 5 days of slow growth , the hairs are mainly white again but now I am in limbo about wether to continue or cut the losses and move on.

So far I have enjoyed the MarsHydro FC6500 with its 8 bars. It was great getting it up to full and bringing it down onto the flowers.

With its beautiful glow that makes the plants grow, comes with more humidity that gets that mildew spreading like crazy.

Time to say good bye .

That's a huge/thick canopy for two tiny 15w fans. I'd get a 150w fan and mount it above your light and let it blow down into the canopy. Dead air really helps PM take off. Also potassium bicarbonate kills PM better than anything I've tried.

Yes I have been adding some fans.

The 15 watt doesn’t move much , but I have a 30 for above and then 2 -12 in fans one under and then one on top of the canopy.

They in turn really help spread the dew, not love.

why didnt you add a dehumidifier? A 400w one woulda kept it right down.

Good luck with the PM bro. I just lost three rounds of plants due to PM. Put me back 4 months worth of grow progress. I’m currently using a mix of potassium bicarbonate 1tbs per gallon to spray my unused tents and ordered some silica blast as an add in for my watering. You are going to have a few weeks of completely spraying and wiping your grow environment. And keep super vigilant over your next few grows. Start fresh or it will continue to haunt your following crops. Stuff is nasty and tenacious.
Disinfect fully and use preventative measures until you’ve gone a full run or two with no signs of PM.

To be honest I have never ran a dehumidifier.

I will look into adding something like that.

What helped me the most with PM is keeping the day and night temps within 5 degrees. Even if you have to add a heater. I don’t run any fans in my tent but I keep the temps real close with an ink bird and that solved all my PM issues.

I used to have PM issues; and it was a battle for a while... Here's what I did
- a full clean up including dissassembling fans and cleaning every square inch
- Got rid of any plants I had and started from seed
-Added a UVA bar, this helps prevent mildew/mold during flower. I run this during the on cycle during flower for the full period
-Added a UVB fluoro. I only run this for a few minutes intermittent during flower
-Dehumidifier and Humidifiers in my house (my house is my lung room)
-Baking soda in my house (eats airborn pathogens)
-Air filter in house ( i use a honeywell 300 it has 3 carbon filters and a prefilter)
-air filters on intakes of grow tents (using air bear 16x25x5" media air filter on 5x5 and a 16x20x1 pleated on my 2x4)
-Made a preventative maintenance schedule . I avoid sprays , instead I remove leaves for improved air circulation, and do regular inspections at least monthly
-I added side fans (pole mounted expensive ones by a/c infinity. 2x on 2x4 and 4x on 5x5)
- I added an active air intake fan (6"in and 6"out on 5x5, 4" in 4" out on 2x4)
-I bought a steamer. I use it to steam clean shit that has hard caked on grime like my drain pan and other stuff
-Using silica in my nutrient regime. Silica is very good to improve internal disease resistance in plants. A complete nutrient feeding is essential to having plants that are resistant, not susceptible to mold. Your plants look quite healthy!
-I like the heater idea. Your houses heating system can also sometimes be tweaked for extra heat in your grow room. Big temp swings are a huge red flag for disease and rot

-A user on here bought an AirROS system which is very expensive but I think there might be a way to use a Reme halo instead which would be much cheaper. I would do everything else possible before buying something so expensive though

-Could the buckets be a big source of humidity and causing the issue from the lowers on up? Are you in a basement?

My best advice I can give though, is buy a humidity and temperature logger. It looks like you might have AC infinity I see the probe hanging there but also it is important to have that probe in the proper spot not right under the lights. Monitoring and controlling temp/humidity will help your plants resist the PM. Best of luck, your grow looked very nice. Looking forward to the next one
