China just had a doozy. Did you hear about it? So what stopped this you, VIs? Guns. If you had a gun would you protect yourself and others?

Rampage slasher, got 9 in just a couple of minutes, again in a rail station. 7 died, in horror.

You VIs don't get to act like only guns kill and only guns rampage and without guns it would mean anything but LESS protection.

If we were all armed (apart of bars and alcohol, which there really should more education about) there would be more immediate response, but even that would not stop, bombing and fire, etc.

But, as soon as you start F-ing or M-ing, WE end you. That is the American Dream. That is Individual Sovereign responsibility.

Yeah, I'm sure 10 guys with guns in a crowded train station would not have gone worse than knives. You also leave out that these things were over two feet long. That was a friggin' machete attack.

1. gun people get to keep their guns
2. insane people won't have access to others' guns
3. we have the technology
4. you must compromise and this is it
5. gun manufacturers need to stop being pussies and just need to do it

LOL who has time to do a retina scan when someone is swinging a machete your way?

IMO your idea has little merit.

The device to do the scan and unlock the gun will be 10 times the size of the gun itself, making it 100% USELESS, except as a bludgeoning weapon. Do you really feel pounding a hard object repeatedly into someone's face is preferable to the oftentimes instant and painless death provided by a bullet?

Retina scan? Totally without software error or human error, I would still have to interrupt my self defense and look into something and wait for it to clear me. And hope in the heat of it all, it actually does clear me?

She is being forced into a van. Now, Sky, have you even tried to imagine the problem here? She did.

She was armed. She got into her quick draw purse holster. A gun in the purse is useless. She knew that. So, she had a small frame, .40 cal., double action revolver. And she reached around behind her, and opened fire. Hit him 2 out 3 before he went down. The Guy driving the van, took off, of course.

So, where is the silly retina scanner in all this?

You simply don't understand the heat of the moment. I hope you never have to but, you have it all wrong.

A guy is slashing at you in a train station, you have 1 sec, as you fling back against the wall.

What was that nonsense about a scanner? No way is that safe for a gun owner. You will sacrifice the entitlement of defense for a fear, that is not support by facts.

2- show me another case, JUST ONE, where a crazy person got a hold of another's gun. And don't you know, the Turnip's Mom would have just let him eyeball the damn thing?

you can scan your retina quicker than the time it takes to take the safety off.

and as i mentioned, there must be compromise from gun owners/manufacturers for this to work.

no one has indoctrinated me, this is my own thought process and my own solution..people get pissy over paradigm shift however, this is what it will take to make EVERYONE happy..

there is no "or else"..i understand compromise is not something the right has in their vocabulary..rarely do they offer any valuable insight and/or solution.
