Outdoor season is coming quick, here in the northeast we have had a warm winter. As soon as I can I would love to start some auto flowers and I plan on starting either MOB or LSD later into the season so they don’t get gigantic.

figure for autos that it isn’t as important to get something resistant because they will be ready before humidity season , but I have little experience with autos and not sure what to get. From pictures I’ve seen I’m considering Mephisto autos
funny the difference one state can make. im in maine and it snowed a lot yesterday. im growing mephisto now, but indoor so not sure if i can help other than to say mephisto is pretty popular and between that, the fact that outdoor people are getting ready and covid you might wanna get those beans sooner than later.

I liking every bean from Mephisto I put in the ground. Very nice stuff. Snowed last night here too.......so much for doing yard work.

I grew LSD in a greenhouse in Massachusetts this past season .. I didn't chop until early Nov, but it prob could have come down late october... I'm not sure how well it will do uncovered, but overall I'm happy with how they turned out this year.. strong weed, I'd grow it again... I've attached a few photos below of this past seasons LSD

I have a some MOB mothers going indoors now that I'll pull a couple cuts from the best for next years outdoor, but haven't run it outdoors yet... i have high hopes though

Supposed to snow tonight and measurable snow saturday in central mass......

Nothing in the ground yet, just hoping it doesn't kill buds on fruit trees.

Damn i was not expecting that. At least it doesn't look too bad, less than an inch here. My daffodils were under about 5in of snow from that last storm we had a couple weeks ago and they weren't phased at all, tough little bastards.

thx ... and sorry just saw this ... i don't really know what the exact amount was, I never really weigh them out when i'm done, but I think I only got about a pound or a little less from each plant ... this year will be different though, the ones already in the ground are about the size of where I was last year on july 1

Updates incoming, for the community of NE growers, or others with these issues, trying get selective strains for your area!

edit: I first thought about less is more, then thought about the toilet paper commercial, then thought it was kind of funny. But I'm also sorry Co-vid 19 is not something to joke about~ that is a bad humor.

What's up TStat? ... here's the supposed back story on MOB from High Times

As T.H. Seeds co-founder Doug explains, “In the mid- to late ’90s, a big bag of Cali weed ended up in Boston which had a few seeds—no one knew the strain name. This true bomb weed, apparently 100 percent indica, was originally called MOD, as these were the initials of the guy who grew it out, mothered it and got it going. But since it was getting too popular and they wanted to hide his identity, they changed the name to MOB. The crew that got it out there was the old Boston skateboarding community. The original guy gave a cutting to a friend of mine who brought it to me, and it was originally grown on my rooftop, flowering super-fast. Then we sent it down to Spain for further selection and feminized seed production.” LINK

I only ever saw MOB once or twice back in 2009 ... it was incredible.. it had such a strong smell it would hurt your nose when you stuck it in the bag... I have a few in veg now, I'll flower one or two indoors and the other in the greenhouse this year ... high hopes

I actually just washed 200 grams of LSD from my 2019 outdoor last night ... came out a real nice light color, it's still drying now, but I'm sure it's good stuff ... I didn't love the smell of the flower as much as others, but it's strong as hell

I know this is old, but what washer are you using? And is that flower free in the wash? did you have to modify the washer to make it work for bubble?

I forget what brand it is but it's basically an RV washing machine ... they have em on amazon for about 75 bucks ... the only thing I modified is the outlet hose ... the one that it comes with is a small, ribbed hose ... it's awkward to use and the material and trichs get caught up in the ribs ... I just replaced it with some flexible vinyl tuning, a couple 90's, and an end cap to hold then release the water easily (a valve could probably be used here as well) ... here's a picture with the original hose, then the mods

Wow thanks for the rushed response with photos! Is that just an 1" tubing elbow in the second photo? Also did you have to add a filter on the inside? Did removing the outlet hose give you and trouble? Same with adding the vinyl tubing, wondering if that ever came loose on you during runs.

no problem man, you caught me at my desk ... it's 1"OD - 3/4 ID tubing ... you have to take the base off the machine (i think it's only 4 screws), then remove the old drain tubing (i think it was held on by a permanent plastic clamp I had to snip off) ... I used a hose clamp to attach the new drain hose to the machine so I never need to worry about it coming off ... I don't use a filter for the drain, but I guess you could rig up something... every once in a while if it starts draining slowly I'll just blow into the tubing and clear the drain out instantly so I never felt I needed it ... I do have a 220 micron bag I could put the material in to keep it all contained, but I prefer that if floats and moves around the wash freely ... I've done it both ways and actually notice a huge difference in yield when its freeballing
