Matt's OG 33.94% THC CBD 4.44% WHOA!

I love to try out new high potency strains, while I have my own, I don't have anything over 26% THC. Kushmart supposedly has a strain that is 33.94% THC and 4.44% CBD. I have met the owner a couple times at vending booths in serveral place in California. Everytime I was there he had no samples. I was thinking to myself that this is bullshit. I have done some research and I have been hearing good and some bads things about the Matt's #1 OG. While everyone is saying it doesn't look like anything special, it hit's like a car accident. I'm going to make a trip next week to Kushmart to see if the Matt's #1 og is bullshit or the real deal. I found a Skywalker OG that tested at 29.3% Total cannabinoids. I was thinking that they were full of shit, well I made the trip and to my surprise it lived up to the hype. I tell my friends who have plenty of cash where to go and snag as much of it as they can. Why do they do that? Because they have money and they buy a whole bunch of it hoping for some bag seed from it. Every once in awhile they find bagseed from these high powered strains and grow them out. http://www.kushmart.com/main/

bullshit is all i can say, ive had bud tested at 4 different places and have always gotten a way different %, ive also seen alot of clubs try and pull a fast one stating 26%+ thc which is unlikely when 10 of your strains are like that, % also doesnt measure the high, its stupid to lose your shit over a 20%+ strain, ive been more stoned with longer lasting highs with many strains under 10%.

I cant recall ever being higher on a 10% strain than a 20%. I dont know if Im easily influenced or what, but whenever I get a >20% strain, they do in fact fuck my world sideways :) I think there is some deception going on though, when I see a clubs menu thats all typical regs like blue dream and other mid grades that theyre claiming are tested in the mid 20s, you know the numbers are cooked.

i'd have to agree!!! when i look at the menu online and they state high 20+ levels its complete crap!!!! I use my sense of smell and sight to see whats dank or not!! And most of the compassion shops I've been to are deff not catering to the needs of their patients but more of their pockets. IMO

Bullshit indeed. MMJ labs are unregulated, unchecked, uncalibrated, and lack solid QC programs. GCMS equipment is VERY sensitive, and will throw out bogus numbers if it's not well taken care of. REAL analytical labs go through rigorous QC tests, calibrations, and checks using method blanks, spikes, and duplicates. I bet if that lab that reported 30+ percent THC were to run a blank of, say, oregano, it would register about 12-15% THC because their GC column is clogged with goey resins....

It's nice to see that people aren't being fooled by the numbers. And that people understand that there is so much more to the high than just the few cannabinoids they test for.

Personally, I think that there is some behind the scenes BS going on with many of those numbers. I never trust the guy selling me weed to try and tell me how potent and/or good that weed is. I hope that this testing fad eventually fades away.

It is true what you said. Since marijuana is still classified as a controlled substance under federal law. Laboratories that say they do run the tests on cannabis do not have say a standard. Medical laboratories have yearly inspections conducted by State Public Health Departments and also HICCFA comes in which monitor and check your results. That is why eventhough I see the actual results I never go by them knowinng that the cannabis testing on a whole is subpar in terms of laboratory science.

+ rep to you :-)

Funny I used to install car audio for living in my twenties and that industry did the same thing. They would blatantly lie about amplifier output wattages all the time. The good thing about amps is it's easy to test there output. It would be nice if there was a governing body of trusted people in the industry to regulate numbers by using the best testing methods.

When I receive results for soil or groundwater samples at work, they are never less than about 10-15 pages long for even just one sample. One page of results, 10+ pages of QA/QC documentation. And they STILL make mistakes, which is why all of our data gets validated by a third party consultant. I just don't see an MMJ testing lab going through the trouble of actually giving solid, reproducible results.

It's all bullshit. Bud doesn't contain anywhere near that % of THC. They just measure the THC content of the trichomes. How large and how many trichomes, who fucking knows?

All the stuff I've ever gotten from dispensaries is tested by Steep Hill labs, and the never throw around numbers that high. The dispensaries will have THC numbers from as low as 9-10% up to maybe 20 tops, give or take. And you can tell the difference so I trust them. Any outrageous claims are likely too good to be true

Some fellas over at ICMAG just had some Adubb tested at 33%.. And it's not BS. One of the guys is a homie.

A lab owner has personally told me it's physically impossible to have plain un-adulterated marijuana bud test over 25%-26% or so......hash, bubble, dipped buds, etc. changes all that but with plain untreated buds- it just not possible for it to be above that. I can't tell you how many times I heard people claim their "stuff" is 22%-24% quality and it test at 15%-17%. I always ask to see the report.......and that's the end of the conversation.

I get the results from reliable sources. I can tell when I'm smoking inflated numbers, happens a lot. The Skywalker was legit, no doubt it was covered in crystals to where you cant see the bud, it was just a blob. The picture is not the actual buds I smoked. I should have taken a picture. The picture that I posted contained a generic pic.

As for the Matt's #1 OG, I'm going to call bullshit on that one but I will still pick some up just to see where it stands. So far I have seen two strains that I'm positive are over 26% THC. Yes, there is alot more to weed than just high THC. That Skywalker though blew every other Skywalker and almost every strains I have tried out of the water. I have tested hundreds of strains and that Skywalker was probably the second or third strongest bud I have smoked. I have one cut that tested at 25% several times. The strongest bud I have ever smoked tested lower than that Skywalker at 26% , I wont mention the name but it's unlike anything out there. It's an instant high that hits you in the head hard then then hits you all over again 15min later, it's so weird. It's like getting hit by a car twice. I don't have that cut by the way, wish I did.

If you guys are not getting legit high caliber strains, then you are not growing it and if you're buying it, you are going to the wrong places. 90% of dispensaries and 99% of seeds wont even come close to over 25%. Many Dispensaries really have some bogus bud and numbers but if you know where to look, it's around.

Plus numbers are not the be-all and end-all far as quality. All the different ratios of cannabinoids affect the high greatly, as do genetics.

In other words, I've smoked weed with a lower thc rating than another, but i liked it much more and just preferred the buzz. Hehe like in the Spinal Tap movie, your amplifier may go to 11, but it sounds better at 10 ;)

33.94% THC and 4.44% CBD I dont think thats even possible.
To get that high of a CBD%, you would have sacrifice so much THC.
All the strains ive got with a high CBD like that, have been at max 10% THC.

Your right about the first sentence. Wrong about the second. There are some crazy strains out there. The majority of them are not released to the public. You don't have to sacrifice THC for CBD, there are strains with 20%THC and 20% CBD. I have seen high numbers with even CBD and THC. Most are low THC with high CBD but that is changing with selective breeding.

I found this! I didnt make it.
