Maybe rootbound?

so i have an earth og clone in a 3 gallon bucket growing under cfls and i have a few roots escaping from the drainage holes? think it might be rootbound? I'm about 4 weeks into flowering, growth seems kinda slow but not too sure. HELP!

You don't say how old, how long you vegged, how tall, and don't give pics.
What are we supposed to base answers on?

one or two roots coming out don't make it root bound you would have to pop the pot off and look at it but I wouldn't recommend that when the plant are fairly big you could damage the plant 3 gallon is small and will slow growth a bigger pot will help speed growth and size of the plant, most indoor grower go with a 5 gallon pots...

okay just making sure that wasn't a definite sign of being rootbound,

chucky, i apologize for my lack of, i am a new grower. Have had 2 fairly successful outdoor grows and have just recently got into the indoor growing.

My setup: 2 23w 1600 lumen bright white 5700k? 2 32w 2200 lumen soft white 2700k,
1 earth og clone 20 inches tall not too sure on the dates but got 18 dime sized nugs heard somethin about defoliating so i kinda raped the leaves off, looks like a twig with fuzzy balls all over it, didn't take all the leaves but definitely alot of em. its been flowering for about 4 to 5 weeks now?
1 bagseed plant it's about 6 or 7 weeks old, 1 week into 12/12 no sign of sex 17 inches tall 24 in diameter
The only reason i am growing them so stout is because of the cfl's. i heard they cannot maintain a healthy plant larger than 20 inches so keepin em short.

the bagseed seems to be doing great but the earth has stopped or slowed bud production since i defoliated and there's also the escaping roots. just concerned, ill informed, and a newbie. any advice is welcomed
