Oh yeah and its an indica GIANT, so uhh if space is a concern....
Not a giant or doesn't have to be, depends on the veg. PM me and I'll point you to some current grows with pics of the Mazar seedbay is giving away. They are pretty small plants but these are indoor under controlled conditions. Doesn't look to be a big yielder so far but probably excellent for breeding with a powerful sativa. Person who started this thread probably received two five packs in separate orders or placed one big ass order and got extras.

Please send pics of the seedbay freebie ones, not the ones crossed to produce the better taste.. Just the pure landrace ones.

well the smell i smelled was definetley not
burning rubber, lemon & spicy is a better description, id grow them they r beautyfull plants and super potent in resin production.

now i dont know if their only good for hash ,in the himmalayas they are only hash plant and u cant dry and smoke them as weed, but i think its because of the frosts these plants are experiencing there and dont forget they r growing there in hights of 2000-3200 meters and that makes it a completley different story than growing them indoor,i would give them ashot for sure, and expect to see a very speccial kind of strain.

captajack, How far along are your plants? I'll grow one or two out just to see what it looks like. They're free seeds, I can't really complain. If nothing else I can just put them away for a rainy day.

The few smoke reports I saw weren't too bad. I just haven't seen many completed grow logs on the freebies. Maybe they haven't been giving them away long enough for many people to have grown them out. I dunno:confused:

heres the info on the free seeds.

Original Mazar won 2nd place in the 1999 High Times Cup and High Life Cup 2002. Mazar has been crossed with Afghan. With very high levels of THC (on par with White Widow), it produces a strong Indica stoned. Known in Holland for its sedative qualities. The plant is highly consistent and has a great taste. Its unobtrusive scent makes it easy to conceal and is easy on the lungs. Mazar can also be grown outdoors in warmer climates. This Afghan cross increases yield and makes an excellent resin plant.
INDOOR / OUTDOOR Indoor/greenhouse and outdoor warm climates TYPE Indica PLANT HEIGHT Short - Medium FLOWERING TIME 7-9 weeks YIELD 40-450+ g/m2 Up to 600g outdoors GROW DIFFICULTY Easy

I don't think those are the freebies, from what I have read on Seedbay/seedboutique forums they are the ones that are not crossed as sold by other breeders under the same name.

NoSaint! What breeder did your beans come from? I have a strain of Mazar-I- sharif that is called Indica Giant and is supposed to grow to 4 meters and yield 1-2 kg. Mine is a outdoor strain from the same region.

Yeah, it will be tricky. The ones that are the more recent freebies that everyone seems to be talking about are pure landrace indicas. They are very very hardy and are actually usually harvested in February after a few frosts and can even turn a red color during this cold period. They survive harsh winters in their natural habitat.

There is very very little information/grow journals about these unique ladies at the moment. Mostly due to them coming back fairly recently from a soldier who collected them.

Plus, not many Jawa's have internet connections and post pictures out in the wastes they come from.

ive seen an outdoor grow of this, the plant was not very tall, high leaf to calyx ratio, huge buds. the buds are all puffy with the swollen calyxes. looks great, covered in trichomes. so then I cured it, and the smoke is one of the least pleasurable ive ever had. its got a strange spicey peppery flavor, and to me its straight up nasty. it looks amazing tho, and all puffed out and trichomes all over.
