#5 copy rooted, 4 was visibly working on it from above and upon disecting as tmrw is 3 weeks full. #1 same thing just more behind. They were likely going to root but 3 wks it long enough for my observations to pull plug. I dont want to get PM or other build up of pathogens and etc, keep the equipment clean given its plastic.

They were notably green leafs no yellowing could of gone longer if I really needed it. Just noting for harvest time as this will give me an idea of well shit idk we will see. Just feel an urge to note. To make this interesting I decided all slurricane this run since its selfed vs a f1 lile masterpiece. So bigger specimen better chance of somethin decent.

Banana og next run and if this slurricane impresses me might give it another 6 pheno shot. Otherwise about to pheno hunt banana og for some years. Because I did my homework and know what Im after. 100 seeds 30 phenos a year. Theres not many strains like this let alone available. Otherwise I really am just gambling hoping for a 1/1000 pheno.

Some crosses can perform better but Im after the best and want it fast like 100 phenos or less. 28%+ flower rosin yield potent and tasty. High flower yield. Thats it but thats rare and commercial extract grower level superior. Breeding for my enviorment that makes it happen.

Other peoples slurricane 7 looks good might suggest high homozygousity in those s1’s. So Il give it a shot. The banana og just bred for what I do. Ive heard people suggest banana og too for high yield. So if its 20-25% flower rosin yield Im looking for the occasional stand out that might occour in 100 specimens. Might hit above that.

Then make s1’s and grow those, sense the homozygousity in them. Make s1’s of the lesser great phenos too incase they are easier to self with goal of bringing back that pheno from seed. Go further and do s2’s to make it even easier to find like 50 seeds minimum. In theory tho no guarenteed. Thats the goal and this time its for real.

I changed plans due to still edjucating myself more but started committing and now only deviated from that slightly. I might squeeze in some different strains here and there but for a good while its slurricane and banana og. They were bred for my situation better being small home personal grower. When Im in hunt mode like now since I am at a shadey spot with current genetics.

Forgot to mention will need to squeeze in a spot of my watermelon ultra clone if I get a close to 20% yield again. To rule out that its just enviormental. That would be a bummer. I jumped to conclusion and kinda hoping I did lose the pheno.

Or that mother reselection is real and that it does stay 20% with minimal variance. And that reselection is needed particularly with her because its so close to end of the line. Of the sequence of genetics that make up the flower rosin proceedure making optimal results.

That just one of those genes to shut off in simpler words maybe inaccurate but sake for this convo. Then it falls apart and only get half the yield now almost. It was 20 then teetered downward quick like Im doing something horribly wrong. Nothings changed 2 yrs growing it for it to be season aka enviormental.

Basically took clones from the one clone that had that genetic breakdown so a genetic reset taking cuts wont happen. Its a controlled reversal hunt at this point hoping one outgrows it or that I acted fast enough. Its not a fun situation. Time goes on tho and data comes with that this harvest actually should be very interesting.

They all came from the same clone from last 3x3 flower run lil over 8oz to 13.4% flower rosin. The rest did 12% one did 17% looks like the last good cut that came from a good clone. As I took the best cuts cutting wise off the clone that had a nice cutting to take from. Just mixing up my results doing so each run.

So say I get a couple 12%, 13%, a couple 15% and a 17%. I keep the mom that did 17% and run it again in the most opposite enviorment in the flower room. Just keep switching spots to rule out enviormental favor, enviorment in general. Ive had 20% and 12% in the same tent Im leaning towards lost pheno.

You know gental handling at harvest wet trimming de nugged ready for prepress mold for pressing. Drying on dry herb shelf 60/60 literally then transfering to scale then prepress mold gently from the rack. Then walk over to press and press it. press it all first and collect last. Each clone/plant gets its own jar. All flower weighed as stated then weigh flower rosin.

I press the entire plant but a plant or two I may give some bud away but you get the point. I consume them and see their different qualities. Its a dialed in process and suddenly the yield is just gone.

I wasnt always dialed in, I was machine trim and mixing everything one jar. So Im not sure it was always 20% and half the grow was not well lit and just crappy small 2x2’s. Crappy lighting and canopy no training mostly larf, its all on this journal. So Idk but Ive never hit 12% from all the gratious hand trimming gentle handling and near perfect canopy structure light exposure wise.

If its all low yield its a wrap but if one stands out keep it. Run it, see how much yield varies each time. I have to invest to know. I want at least couple runs no watermelon ultra tho. That will go by quick. Then one clone a couple runs to test this. Il accept 18-19% but any more variance and thats the new lesson, its just what it is, probably enviormental? I hope not.

They say if out of wack but sometimes like a hiccup of high or low humidity or temp in dry process too. While I fried my rosin made it black and kinda crappy I only may of lost 1-2% that way according to my test. And thats if it wasnt a random locolized higher hash output press which can happen; if you test every 3-5gs at a time vs 20gs at once in 5g pucks like me.

Sometimes a few test presses are equal to overall rosin yield and sometimes it goes up and down but end up inbetween overall wise. Soo yea take what you will from that.

Put simply, I accidently purged my keeper genetics and traits instead of the clear bad ones. Or else you just dont know what to expect to harvest and there is room to discover why this happens. Maybe at the for front of it all, or maybe its all figured out and just need to crack it in my setup.

I thought lots of this was a mistery but its all something you could even have AI explain to you why it happens. Im leaning towards lost pheno but ramble over we shall see results in some time it goes quick. Done so many rounds already 6 rounds in not including the round I had to learn about budrot and PM but did 9 wks flower. That would be 7 rounds.

This awesome. I needed to read on stress testing like dont all herm at some point.. Well shit, this pheno I got here is half the work in stress testing. Just running her thoroughly showing hiccups not causing herms. She seeded mildly from seed but as clones never seeded again. Last run in one tent I got those micro seeds and was hot/dry not as happy.

Aside from that it was pressable I wouldnt smoke that batch tho but any batch is harsher side. She dont smoke well and Ive cured a few strains to know if its just the genetics. Some dont even need a cure. Anyway if it were seeded bad enough I cant press it but easier to filter out seeds give away free smoke. If micro its ok for rosin but not smoke.

Soo the fact under extreme stress growing sacs and nanners possibly sterile or mostly sterile. As is with allllllllllll this data in my journal shes already got good traits in terms of herming and potentially breedable in just that sense. To be sure just call her names and etc lol like they say. Be very mean to her to put it kindly. Collect pollen and apply to branch see if it seeds.

Anyway just saying thats pretty cool. I remember being so butthurt when it seeded people here were like just run it again if it checked your boxes. It might not herm. Lol best advice ever. It can be explained as well and isnt that rare it actually can herm from seed very easily, like one said. To dial things in, those things that not herm my pheno can easily herm others.
