My only complaint about MC is their 2 part ratios are complete nonsense.

I was getting potassium deficiencies doing their recommended 2.5g A 2.5g B ratio end of veg.

So then fast forward a few weeks when I flip and it starts to bud... I follow their recommended ratio of 4.2g A to 1.8g of B for "full bloom budding." Now I got some calcium deficiencies at the top of my growth.

So what Im doing now is using Jacks 3.6g A to 2.4g of B ratio minus the epsom and everything is looking pretty good. Ill be using that same ratio from beginning of flip to end next run since MC A and Jacks A is literally the same minus MC having a bit of silica.

I only favor MC over Jacks cause of the silica included but if I keep running into problems after next run...Im going to get that MC Part A bag and throw it in the garbage.

Besides their nonsense ratios creating deficiencies. MC produces pretty nice plants
Are you saying with your Megacrop A and B you are using 3.6g A to 2.4g B as recommended by Jack's with better results?
I'm an organic guy using Megacrop A , Power Grow B and epsom for a coco run and I can't get the right ratios yet.

i tried to make it work but it just wasnt working in my case. always ran into some sort of problem... and it was messy in my hydro setup on top of that.

went back to dynagro. liquids ease of use and fractional extra cost isnt a big deal for me.

I have been getting better results with the Jack's feeding schedule than I did with the MegaCrop schedule. I maintain the 3:2 ratio of Part A to Part B throughout the whole grow, I just adjust the amount of A and B depending on the growth stage (EC range 0.6-1.5). So far, haven't had to go above 3g A and 2g B. Also, i stopped adding epsom, my previous issues seem to have been an issue with poorly buffered coco.

Well thank you for your experience! My project right now is just frustrating. Not used to these dry nutes and my EC meter is MIA so it's been really tough trying to dial this new feed in temporarily. I'm flying blind boys. Do you know your typical USA EC reading if you add 3g A 2g B to 1 gallon of water? I know our water might differ, just trying to get an idea. Thanks again!

@DrKiz i see you use over twice as much A as B, is that for flower or just regular use.

I’m still trying to figure out what ratios I want to use. Whether I want to go with their feed charts or try the Jacks 321 but skip the Epsom salts as MC part A seems to have plenty of Mag.
I wasn't happy with that run in the end, I ended up with calcium deficiencies. This last run I went 100 grams Part A with 60 grams part B as per a recommendation I read. It working out pretty well.
I will probably go with 100/65 this run starting a few days into stretch and stick with that straight to the end.
I use Megacrop one part for vege up until stretch. It's too easy.

Their recommendations on the bag are definitely screwed up.

For a 1 gallon batch:
  • 1.35g MC A, 0.91g MC B, ~15 drops pH down, 394ppm (EC 0.78 ), final pH 5.94, pH was ~6.6 before adjustment [344 from fertilizer (EC 0.68 )]
  • 3.0g MC A, 2.0g MC B, 9 drops pH down, 785ppm (EC 1.57), final pH 5.80, pH was 6.25 before adjustment [735 from fertilizer (EC 1.47)]
My tap water comes out around 50ppm so I added the from fertilizer values at the end.

Edit:
All ppm are on the 500 scale.

I'm assuming those complaints are about the new one part mix. I've been playing with the two part and i don't see any black flakes and there doesn't seem to be any sediment formation.

I can't say too much about the two part formula performance yet. I have one plant about a week from harvest and another that's in veg but it has been a real pain in the ass since day one. Seem to have issues with every brand of fertilizer i through at it. I did feel like the Mg was a bit low with their early veg schedule (25ppm) so Iadded some Epsom but that was in response to what looked like a deficiency. The issues I'm seeing might just be strain related, it's my first time growing this strain.

I should be starting some GDP soon so I plan on running the two part with that from start to finish, hopefully it isn't as big of a pita as the cali orange I have in veg now.
How did the GDP do with the 2-part?

I was happy with the results, it was a pretty easy grow. Worked my way up to an EC of about 1.5 (3g part A, 2g part B), and just held there for the remainder of the grow. I started to see some curling of the leaves and burning at the end of flower, but it had to go longer than expected to mature. I've been growing in a drain less container so it can be tricky to regulate when the plant stops drinking. Overall, i was happy with the final product, good flavor, good resin production, good smoke. Pic below is a sample of the GDP behind a Skunk #1 nug (for color comparison).

On the feeding calculator for 2-part, once flipped to 12/12 how long to feed "Veg" before switching to "Late Veg/Early Bloom", and then finally "Bloom"?

I ended up switching to the Jacks feeding schedule, but from my notes the early veg was only around an EC of 1.2 so i would assume you would need to switch before flipping to 12/12. I ran into Mg deficiencies using the recommended veg formula as about 63% of that feed ratio is Calcium Nitrate. If i were following the Megacrop feeding schedule i would probably go with the veg formula for a few weeks then switch to the veg/bloom until maybe 25-50% of the way through flower then finally switch to bloom but obviously you need to read the plant to understand the needs.

Edit:
Their bloom might get low on N so i would make sure the stretch is complete before switching. I find the 3g A to 2g B ratio easier now but I'm a bit lazy and rarely run the same strain so it's hard to dial in.

Megacrop ever gonna have the 1000g bags back in stock? My uncle could really benefit from this one part nute.

If he's looking for the 1-part the 2.5kg is in stock for what looks like a reasonable price. I see it for $27 before shipping and taxes, and Amazon has it for $37.

Ppl are using way more expensive stuff these days like Tribus and Mammoth P for hydro. A tiny bottle is $80 bucks. I looked at the ingredients of Tribus a while back and GW has 4/5 bacteria strains that Tribus has + a bunch more. I remember Tribus was very very concentrated though. Much more so than GW....but Ill take GW's lower price and those 10+ extra bacteria strains over Tribus/Mammoth P.

I think some smaller growers vouch for Photosynthesis plus but according to the directions i think i had to dump in 500mL of that stuff for my 70 gal rez. Dilluted af.

So yeah.... I just stick to Orca or GW for hydro. Slightly leaning towards GW over Orca though after testing Orca for the first time last run.
Research Endo and Ecto mycos. You will see that 99% of Great White is not even for weed. It's junk. I suggest Dynomyco and King Crab. (King Crab is made by the same folks who make Great White)

I looked into king crab looks promising. Ive only had success with GW and orca honestly and both are affordable. Im going to run sterile with uc roots next run... if I dont like the results ill try king crab. all these other bennies i tried suck balls dont shield you from root rot or are way too expensive to even try... it just doesnt make sense financially.
