As someone who has done both I can’t imagine I would be that impressed. There’s some great auto growers on here with great looking plants. So I’ve seen them.

Plus I’m not waiting for a “drop” this guy is sitting on a ton of seeds making bank off these “drops”

I don’t hate the player I hate the game.
im not sure what youre saying in the first part i agree there are some great guys on here i also know how to grow autos.
wasnt ever doubting it or disagreeing with that statement.
either way like i said before i personally am happy i got some beans we can sit and argue about fairness and corporate blah blah money this that and the other. thats the way the cookie crumbles. fact. the unfortunate backlash of legalization and popularization of a black market commodity. thats the real root of the problem. if i dont buy em. someone else will. its not like anyone doubts their genetics. they are rock solid. so once in a while ill indulge and buy some seeds. i have a vast library. its like collecting for me. so personally i like to buy em.

hey i hear ya but to each their own. i like growing autos because they are fun and its like a game for me to see if i can really make them produce. im not counting on them to smoke or anything. more just filling some space and making some bud to hold me over if i need it. or just something a little diff to smoke/grow

ive cloned autos and had the clones produce an ounce each as well as the main plant 6oz
always testin shit and pushin boundries. its how you learn to be a better more verstile grower.

personally. id pay 250 for 12 seeds from certain old school breeders like dj short.
theres a reason everyone begs me for clones come spring time. its all about good genetics and generally you pay for it.
People beg you for auto clones?

Let’s start with what I was saying in my first post. I’ve seen good looking plants. So to say “sit back and watch” like we’re going to learn something. I started with autos. (ILGM autos but still) I liked them for what I was doing. They just aren’t for me anymore. Not for my new goals as a grower.

If everyone stopped buying into the silliness, the prices would have to come down. I’m sure they’re tripping over more than they’re selling.

If this what you like to do. Do you. If it’s your hobby. Enjoy.

I’m not even sure why I’m here. I don’t grow Mephisto or autos. I’m sorry I even posted :wall:

itll never happen tho. thats just the name of the game nowadays. sometimes you have to change and adapt or be left behind

oh dont take it so personal
i mean left behind as in not exploring new strains etc
the way the industry is going its leaving all guys like us behind.
I’m not taking anything personal, my sarcasm didn’t come across through text. I was just messing around. I think autos have their place.

I just don’t agree with paying absurd amounts for seeds when there’s better genetics for way less.

Please don’t quote me anymore I’m trying to leave this thread. :hump:

I'm not loving the mephisto autos so far. I popped 3 Ripley og and one mango smile and they all started pre/flower within a month probably less. They barely have enough time to put some weight on before flipping on their own.

Can't blame grower error for lack of production. Those are tiny for a month old. And the burnt and yellowed leaves indicate you ran into some issues/stress along the way.

Nah nothing too serious they might've got a little hot in the FFOF/FFHF mix but other than that they're in perfect conditions 78/50 under T5. The one with yellow leaf is one I only plain water every 3-4 days. The other ones I add a whole bunch of no npk supplements.

They're not runts They're just not that great compared to photos. Average flip time for autos in general is very short 2-6 weeks regardless of who's breeding and who's growing.
ya idk man. i get 4-6oz off my autos and i dont even really try
sometimes you get a runt
if you fuck up even by the hair of a cunt youre yeild will suffer.
you said yourself you put them in hot soil
so they stunted and you lost valuable vegging time. after second set of true leaves they should.be growing almost and inch a day less at first because theyre small but once you get a good base of leaf they should.be growing around an inch a day 14 days (your number) would be 12-14" before flower autos keep growing and will likley 2.5x in flower so a 32-35" plant. easy 3-4oz.
id also never grow an auto the way you are without bending her over.

it really boils down to knowing how to grow weed. if you are a good grower with exp and understand what the plant needs at certain times and are able to judge and guage a plant by examining it you will be able to grow good autos. people who bitch and complain about autos generally dont have a vast knowledge of growing cannabis
i dont mean a couple tent grows i mean actually growing for production for years. dealing with issues. seeing diff strains and how they act during diff phases of growth. learning proper propagation methods. seedling care. all these points relate directly to autoflower plants.
i look at an auto like a big pie.
every thing you do right the pie stays round
every little mistake you make takes a small (or large) peice of the pie out. in the end your pie might be just crumbles in the pan or it could just have a little taste outta it. thats what i strive for.
no burns
no droops
no stretchy
i want those leaves reaching for the sky as if im mugging her every moment of her life.

I've got a couple tent grows done and I can grow autos. Doesn't take years, it takes half a brain and a tiny bit of experience.
