In the market for a new light for my grow tent/room and thinking of either of the two LED lights; Mars Hydro FC4800 or HLG 600 Rspec

Room details:
48”x45”x6’
6” AC Infinity (TS6) exhaust
4” AC Infinity S4) fresh air intake
(Infinity‘s are auto controlled)
AC wall unit (Tstat @ 78)
InkBird Rh auto control

just wondering opinions/pros and cons of each light.

I'd go for the r-spec but your tent is way to low. No point having that kind of power and only 6 feet.
The mars fits your space better. But it is mars. You need a bar light or a light which doesn't bunch up the boards all in the middle. You don't really need much more than 480 wats of hlg in that space.

You could get a refurbished R-Spec Scorpion from HLG for almost the same price as a new 600W R-spec.

" HLG Scorpion Rspec® is designed for grows with low ceiling heights or for vertical racks. HLG Scorpion Rspec® uses 6 QB288 Quantum Boards® for an even light spread at just 12" from the canopy. Our QB288 uses Samsung's latest LM301H and Deep Red LED 660nm. This unit is dimmable, with wattage output from 60 to 600 watts. "

Haha not a Mars fan I presume? No worries I’m not team anyone so any other brands/manufacturers for that size is appreciated! I actually lean more towards bar lights due to the heat displacement ability but honestly don’t care since the AC is working perfectly. But space between kid and light needs to be considered

So right now it's between some Bar light and the HLG Scorpion Rspec. I didn't think of the head room consideration but after a couple comments here and research I think that's a necessary component to consider for sure. However, I do wonder if all that light is necessary in my tent. Seems like $1K is a big endeavor when your not going to really have a need for all that power (only to trim it down on the dimmer).
