Complete grows under metal halide take an average of 2 weeks longer than with straight HPS.
That's totally wrong, i have grown with MH and finish times were the same...where did you learn this...

Lots of people use MH for the first two weeks to reduce stretch, more blue less stretch.

Newbies, ignore Metal Halide. Read why. Experienced growers do what the fuck ever you want. Including wasting money.

• HPS is about twice as electrically efficient as metal halide.

• Photosynthetically Active Radiation (PAR) is what really matters to plant growth, and delivery of usable PAR is better with HPS than metal halide.

• The enhanced blue in metal halide does not lead to increased plant growth compared to HPS in the “veg” stage.

• Metal halides deliver, on average, about 80,000-110,000 lumens per standard 1,000-watt bulb. For the same wattage, HPS bulbs delivers about 130,000-155,000 lumens. This increased light output far outweighs other considerations when trying to maximize plant growth

Let me restate it for easier comprehension . Because MH is far less efficient it takes about 2 weeks longer because you have to veg longer to get the same weight as running HPS.

lumens are for human eyes, cannabis sees in PAR

You might wanna read up on basic plant growing bud, MH plants don't finish slower....

They just veg less. I've done bith. Plus the reading you're going on. Whatever. Read more and see they're less efficient.

It's obvious you never finished plants with a MH or you wouldnt be saying it takes longer, because it does not.

Guess you have no idea what a CMH light is either, you will actually finish faster under a CMH than you will a HPS.

You might need to read up on PAR and light spectrum
