Mi5 bred to Durban Poison... What to expect.

I crossed the 2 accidently. last season while i was breeding DP to make my 100% sativa seed stock. and i realized my little female autoflowering MI5 2wks into flower (from short stuff seeds) was basking in the sun while i was shaking my male DP all over my female DP and by wind pollination i ended up with a MI5 full of seeds off the durban male. Mi5 is a AK47 with a purple afgan bred into it. Durban poison is sometimes purple as well. what are the chances of making an "Autoflowering" Durban Poison? i've got 3 females and 3 males(all from the same mother). i took the fastest to flower male and left him in the mix and im breeding all my females to him. hopefully after planting alot of seeds and selectively inbreeding... i will be the first to have an auto DP. plus rep+ to any good advice

back cross offspring to another autoflower male to try and isolate the auto flower gene. Autoflower is recessive so your offspring should be heterozygous meaning carrying the gene for autoflower but not expressing it. Best case senerio you hit on the auto the first gen and you could cross the auto offspring to isolate the auto gene. Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! genetics r fun

I am crossing the mi 5 with blue danzig now.

These experiments are fun because it takes months to find the outcome.

Keep up good work!

i've yet to find a auto flower gene. there all lanky sativa lookin plants that are really sensitive to heat. which makes no sense seeing how the father of this seed batch is from the rift valley in africa, one of the hottest places in with 3 techtonic plates pull away from. the inbred durban poison is very stable.... im gonna have to grow every single seed and hope the auto gene carrys the characteristics im looking for... skunky/licorice/anise: smell.... short stout fast to flower purple bushes, and a frosty resinous mess when i harvest the final one. i have orig. seeds from both mother and father. which should i breed first when i find my auto gene?

im on my way to my spot where i have the 3 ladys basking 10hrs a day. and finished flushing. so im gonna give them a few days of complete darkness and let the soil dry before i harvest.... i've always had a bad habit about harvesting too early. pics will be up soon.... so keep your eyes ready for those following. well see what this cross looks like at 10wk.
