I got my scope from radio shack for I think $6-10 its a 30-60x adjustable with a little light on the bottom which makes it easier to see the trichs.

I use the radio shack one as well, I find I have to press it on the bud then adjust to get a good look. The plastic piece infront of the light has some resin on it. Anyone else find this to be true and if not tell me what the hell I"m doing wrong lol

I have a 30x unlighted, a 45x times lighted and a 60-100x lighted.
The only one I use is the 45x lighted.

it was $4 shipped from china, took a couple weeks

I think lighted is almost a must, but there are tons of cheap options. I only liked radio shack cus I lived right down the street.

As far as I can tell, that's how they work. They are really designed to sit on a stamp or coin or whatever. So you have to touch the leaf or bud. I think I will try one of those $40-50 USB scopes next time around, like this one perhaps:

I got a 30x LED and cant make out much. Gonna try a 60x now.
I did that. The view on the 60x was too small for me. I bought a lighted 45x and it works great.

By the way, amber trichomes means the trichome has degraded to the point of being useless, despite what people will tell you about "couch lock."
